Took my dog to the groomer this week. He looks quite handsome, but he prefers to be hairy and smelly .

Your dog and EXMoney could be best friends.

We call one of our goldens "gutter dog" she loves to play in the dirt, walk in all the puddles and roll in the grass....the other one seems to not like getting dirty....just wet-wet-wet in the rain!

Stopping by to drop off another buck to the whiny one...a great movie!

Ruthxxx 08-16-2009 06:16 AM

Good morning! It's really hot this morning. Do you suppose anyone would object if I went to church in this light and airy Indian cotton robe? I'd put on earrings to dress it up a bit and wear sandals instead of bare feet. Opinions?

Some places would consider that quite ordinary.

EZMONEY 08-16-2009 09:38 AM

Don't think anyone at my church would care

after all, they allow me in with shorts and skinny legs

Ruthxxx 08-16-2009 12:16 PM

Well, you two are in California where anything goes.

bargoo 08-16-2009 03:28 PM

you just need to bring enough of it! It'll slow you down a bit, carrying that much metal, but think of it as exercise... if Angie lets you have any, that is.

Again: Angie is a wise woman!

EZMONEY 08-17-2009 11:49 PM

Excuse me...I must have accidently opened the "Pick on Gary Thread....

bargoo 08-17-2009 11:58 PM

Look at it this way, Gary, when they are picking on you they are leaving their husbands alone. So you see, you are doing a very important service.

EZMONEY 08-18-2009 12:01 AM

Then they owe me BARGOO!

Oh yes I forgot you frequent Starbucks...A person needs to cash out rrsp/401ks to enjoy a cuppa joe! ;)lol But the weight of that metal in your pockets should give you a great work out while walking the dogs back and forth on weekend mornings! No gym needed. Do you have Tim Hortons down there in CA?

Unless one is good with multi bashing ooops I mean "tasking".;)

EZMONEY 08-18-2009 12:36 AM

Angie and I go to Starbucks once a week at the most...not a fan of their coffee....but they are located on our walk...all the others we used to go to on the route from our house have closed down. no Tim Hortons around us.

My best friend loves them. She has the order making process down pat. I am a social coffee drinker and dont have the patience for the lingo! Tim's is my hubby's fave. Although apparently my coffee making skills have improved over the years and will settle for home brew much more often!:D Checked out thier web site they have now moved into 11 states. Not bad for a hockey player eh?

Onederchic 08-18-2009 12:27 PM

I have never been to Starbucks :o

dutchgirl 08-18-2009 11:03 PM

I like my Folgers and Yuban just fine...the trip to Starbucks is more about walking a mile...stopping for a cup of coffee and tea and a scone for Angie while we sit outside and view the traffic going by and of course....treats for the mutts....then the 2.5 mile walk the long way home...helps keep our marraige solid...not about the coffee...not a big fan of it myself.

Saving money is good. I am proud of me.

JuliaDH 08-18-2009 11:38 PM

Summer arrived here finally!
But she could have left the tag a long named Humidity somewhere else! Yuck! Too icky.

dutchgirl 08-19-2009 11:48 AM

Bump again!
I had to rescue this thread from the 2nd page again!

I go to Starbucks about twice a year, usually when I am flying. The only thing I will buy there is an Ice Mocha, which I consider a dessert more than a coffee.
If I feel like making the effort (usually a weekend morning thing) I brew a really mean cup of coffee myself with freshly ground beans and my lovely little Italian coffeepot.
The only thing I sometimes crave and haven't found here is hazelnut coffee, and I don't mean coffee with hazelnut syrup, but beans that have been infused with hazelnut essence somehow, to give kind of a nice undertone of flavor.

bargoo 08-19-2009 11:57 AM

I grind my own beans and prefer French Roast . And I like it strong and not messed up with flavorings and whipped cream.

JuliaDH 08-19-2009 03:56 PM

I bought an amazing tea the other day. Sencha Kyoto Cherry Rose. The smell and taste is heavenly!

Ruthxxx 08-19-2009 04:02 PM

We end up on page two a lot because there are way too many silly games out there. They seem to have a purpose of some sort. What a drag!

Just passed another building inspection - construction, wiring, heating and plumbing. Insulation inspection is next and then I'll book Gary for drywall if Angie will give him permission. Any bets?

JuliaDH 08-19-2009 05:54 PM

11 games between page one and two. They all look the same to me! lol Tried playing them for a while. But then noticed that the answers start looking the same.
