I was really disappointed with the show. I thought the judges (not the Girl Scouts) were so scared as to offend anyone. I wanted something like the brutal honesty we usually hear on Top Chef. I realize they probably have clauses in their contracts that protect them from any sort of embarrassing or slanderous comments. I really like the guy with no formal training. I thought all the guys were great themselves, but I have been just as impressed with things the regular Top Chef contenders whip up.
I hope the competition will become more intense, however, I doubt it will. These are guys competing for charity. I, too, want better judging than girl scouts.
