Here in Northern California it was too darn hot to do anything but think of ways to stay cool. It's going to be hot today, too.

Nice here today...around 75...a little drizzle on the way home but not muggy.

Son has a huge palm tree in the front yard of his new house...wants to get rid of it..a neighbor says it is worth $10,000 if it is he is gonna sell it and use it to fix up the back yard...it may be worth it...but in this economy one never knows....we shall see.

Very warm and veeeery humid here in Amsterdam. Kind of makes you want to do nothing, if not less.
I just signed up for a course in silversmithing starting late September.
I am so looking forward to it! I did a bit of that many years ago and loved it. I guess it is the combination of being creative and doing something technical at the same time. FUN!

sorry i have been MIA for a while. had a long and busy week and weekend last week and then to find out yesterday that DS has pneumonia. so no i am going to go nuts with 2 weeks off of work. this week with my son and next due to the fact that we will be shut down for the week.

The past couple days have been pretty hot during the day here, but, the nights have been wonderful. Did a fire in the pit and s'mores with the girls last night. :beach: The oldest has been visiting a bit lately. :cheer2: The youngest's attitude seems to be improving since I've been staying home. :cheer3: I'm trying to just enjoy the moment and not worry about when I have to return to work. Kinda hard for a mom to do, but, I'm trying. :rolleyes:

I say , sell the darn palm tree. There is nothing messier and uglier than a palm tree in my estmation.

The neighbor that told my son his tree was worth 10 grand is in the landscape business...but I told my son don't "count your chickens before the're hatched!"...I have men working for me in the drywall business for over 30 years and don't have a clue about what they are doing!!
