How old is your kiddo? Could this be the "I am in full blown puberty and hate the world in general and my mom and myself in particular" hormonal thing?

And don't get too fussed about the smoking, you'll get back to that one when times are better.

Operator ..... big hugs. I think changing your career is a great way to go. I did it in midlife and never regretted it although it was scary at the time.

Once the kids were grown up and gone, I tried to change careers from a drywall finisher to a stay at home dad.....

Love the Derby. I tear up when "My Old Kentucky Home" starts to play. And I am not from Kentucky.

I tear up and I'm not even from the States! Dagnabit! I had dinner with friends and missed the Derby.

Wow we must have all gotten a life this weekend!
