I finished reading Still Alice and Wesley the Owl. They were both great. I'm not sure I'm a believer in animal telepathy or I have the fortitude to kill mice for my pet, but I really enjoyed the book about the owl.

Im reading Angels In My Hair by Lorna Byrne...its very good....Im a firm beleiver in the angels....

I finished the fifth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris and since I'm very into series lately, I started The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. I've seen these around and thought they didn't look like my cup of tea, but they're completely different from what I thought they would be. I love it! I really love the main character, Precious Ramotswe.

I'm also reading Unconditional Parenting by Alfie Kohn. I need to start thinking about how I will discipline my little boy in the future, and this book seems in line with my leanings toward attachment parenting.

Hey Lisa - is that the first book in the Alexander McCall series? I keep meaning to give it a whirl.

I'm just finishing Nothing to Lose by Lee Child. Got it from a co-worker. It's a pretty good read, but a little drawn out. Next up is a newer Stephen King. I'll let you know how it goes! Great thread! I never knew it existed. Thanks!!

I'm still on Stone Cold but should be done with it in a couple of days. After that I think I'll read The Help by Kathryn Stockett

I loaded The Help onto my Sony Reader! Maybe I'll read that one next too :)

Yes, it's the first one. I just finished it and immediately started the second one, Tears of the Giraffe. I got them both from the library in case I liked the first one. I believe there are eight or nine so far. I really enjoyed the first one! Apparently they've made a movie or miniseries or something and Jill Scott plays the main character.

I love the #1 Ladies Detective Agency! I had no idea it has been made into a miniseries. I'll have to look for that.

The Rise of Silas Lapham... ahhhhhh 19th century american lit.

Just started The Shopoholic series. So far so good... a light funny read. I've got her whole series. They came in all at once from the library.

Me, too. I didnt' either! I've only read the first one, will have to look for the others. Didnt' knwo there were that many.

I'm still plodding through Roger Zelazny's Amber series- I'm on Trumps of Doom and it's finally starting to get really good.

Well, I finally finished Love Walked In and while it annoyed me...I think I HAVE to read the next one, lmao.

Been working on Three Dollars by Elliot Perlman...another annoying book, lol. So thought I would go between that and Swapping Lives by Jane Green...maybe it will help me get Three Dollars read.
