  • I have been to San Juan Capistrano when the swallows came back.

Grandma Judi's 2nd annual tribute party about to start...what a fine day for chili...75 degrees outside...perfect!

Broke out the patio tables/lawn chairs/umbrellas and shuffleboard gear.
  • Sunny here but damned cold! Gary's party sounds great. Do you need an extra grandma?

I was sort of grumpy this morning for some reason but shook it off and made a pieced quilt top for Victoria's quilts in ONE day! Yay me! I'll take it to the meeting Monday for pinning and machine quilting.
  • Oh, I need to get back into embroidery and quilting. I used to really enjoy it.

  • 5 days smoke free!
  • YIPEE to 5 days smoke free!!

We can always use an extra Grandma!

Party went very well...21 people here from 2-7:30....loving Grandma Judi's chili (I made it).....and Uncle Gary's chili (mine is spicy) and Aunt Angie's chicken tortilla soup.....

    Family get together's are fun
  • MISS TNT ~ so do you know anything about the Church of Scientology and their "digging" in Wyoming?
  • Hi all. Yesterday was my anniversary, so we went out to eat. It is really nice to just go as a couple sometimes. We really don't do that very often. My son was teasing me and said that he felt left out. Ha! Actually, they were more concerned with when we would get back (translation: how much can they get away with while we are gone).

It's been beautiful weather here. I can see my tulips starting to poke through the dirt!
  • Happy Anniversary Slash!! How many years?

Gary: I am soooo jealous! That party sounded sooo good! We are expecting 9-15 inches of that %&@@&* white stuff tonight into tomorrow. I am so sick of it! Can't wait for backyard fun. I am not a grandma yet but I am a wonderful aunt!
  • Happy Anniversary Slash!!!!!!
  • HAPPY ANNIVERSARY COLORADO D!

Cracks me up about the son being left out My son used to tease Angie and I about that stuff too. We never locked our bedroom door because the kids were all old enough to know to knock and wait to hear "come in" before opening...especially on date night Now my son's bedroom was right under ours....so he knew when date night was. Sometimes, in the summer when the windows were open, he would step out his sliding glass door and "yell" up to our window..."trying to study down here"....Anyway one night he knocks....we cover ourselves...he comes in with his school book and climbs into our bed between us....pretending to study....we were kind of at his mercy until he left...

Sorry HATTIE The weather here is gorgeous. The sun is shining already and it's barely sweater weather...it will warm up soon. I am tired of wishing to be a grandpa.....I have a new plan "I don't want to be a grandpa...no...No....NO!! ....the old reverse psychology trick
  • Just heard on the news Paul Harvey died....loved that guy! What a voice!

"and now the rest of the story"

    Paul Harvey..."good day"
  • Paul Harvey was pretty cool. Sorry to hear that.
  • I heard about Paul Harvey, too. I know he was 90 years old and had a great life, so that's wonderful, but... what a loss to the rest of us. He brings back so many great memories. I remember sitting at Grandma's table and listening to what he had to say. What an icon.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. It is 22 years this year. I did the math and at next year's anniversary, we will be married for half our lives. Wow. I asked DH if that is just way too long to be married and he said that we just need to quit aging. ha!
  • Well, Gary, it is raining here in Northern California. But we need the rain, seeing as how Southern California takes our water.
  • Just popping in real quick to say

    HAPPY SUNDAY ALL!!!
