Barbecued meats are one of my guilty loves, so the bacon wrapped sausage glazed with barbecue sauce did call to me to at least want a bite.
We have a yearly county fair in our town, and most years we do go. I plan for it by being very careful with my calories several days before (and several days after). Some of my fav fair foods are fairly light by junk food standards - shaved ice (high in sugar, but no fat) or "monkey tails" (bananas coated in chocolate or flavored white chocolate coating. Key lime is my favorite, bright green waxy coating over a 'nana looks very scary).
Funnel cake is another absolute fav, but at least hubby and I split it (in years past, I would have made him get his own, and maybe have to go back a second day to have it again).
It's weird too, because I'm normally not a big fan of sweets, but amusement parks and fairs bring out my sweet tooth for some reason (but I want the grilled meats and sweet corn too).
