I read through this thread and I got to thinking, Dang, I've been through a lot of sizes. I'm 5'5'' hourglass shape:
113 lbs. = size 3 120 lbs. = size 5 130 lbs. = size 7 166 lbs. = size 12, this is my current size 175 lbs. = size 14 185 lbs. = size 16 I have always had big boobs, so shirts can be difficult no matter what size. I've found that Gap and J. Crew do not account for breasts. |
I'm mid 30's
5'7" 175 lbs size 14 pants, size 12 tops |
I am a 46 year old femaile
I am 6'1" (yuppers- over 6' tall-ugh!) I tend to carry my weight everywhere except my boobs, of which I have very little I weight 293 and I currently wear a size 22 in jeans I still wear a 24 top, just because my upper arms are large.-yuck Is anyone else here 6 feet tall? - just giving an update - I am now 286 lbs and wearing a size 20 :-) |
it totally depends on your body type. I'm 5'8". At 255 I wore 18's, Now at 240 I wear 16's, but can still manage my 18's with a belt. At my lowest, 170, I wore a 12. My body isn't meant to be smaller than that! :]

Hi-
I'm 22, 5'7, about 330 lbs.... and I wear a 24, maybe 26, depending on who who makes the jean. Though lane byrant's special sizing, the perfect fit jeans, doesn't give an exact size. 6 blue circle. It's a weird sizing. lol... at my lowest at 170-180 I wore a size 14. |
age 51, height 5'4", weight 122, size 2-6, depending on the brand.

Great thread--we as women have been 'taught' to be secretive about our weights and sizes, so we never undestand what 'real' women weigh, what someone else with our height weighs, what someone with our weight but a different height weighs. I was shocked to find out that two friends/co-workers--whose bodies I envy!--weighed the same as me. Exactly the same! (In fact, this was several months ago, so now I weight 5 pounds less!) One is a couple inches taller than me, the other is a good 5 inches taller than me. But I considered their weights 'unattainable.' Simply because I convinced myself that I was still overweight, and they were 'perfect.' Funny how our minds work, and how we distort our perceptions. :dizzy:
I'm 5'1, 31 years old, hourglass shape. I'm 125 pounds. My Calvin Klein jeans are a 6, I have a couple skirts that are a size 4, and my tops are now small or medium. I bought a jacket a couple weeks ago in a size 4. At my highest weight, when I was very out of shape (meaning, I had little muscle mass and high body fat), I was 162 pounds and a size 16. In June, I was 142 pounds and bought a dress in a size 12, and bought pants in a size 10. In September, I weighted 132 pounds and bought pants in a size 8. Great thread! :) |
Just updating :
Ok when I first started this thread I was 228lbs Wearing a 18 To 17jr. (of course still 5' 5" and Female age 33) I am now 221.6 and I am fitting into a size 16 now |
I'm 46, 5'3" & weigh about 141 pounds (on Friday, I was 140.7).
I wear a petite medium or size 10 generally, though I'm a size 12 in my 80s vintage suits & dresses. When I shop in the smaller, more costly designer stores in Manhattan, I'm a large. (Yeah, I lost over 100 pounds & am still "L" to some sales clerks.) |
Age 20.
My highest weight and size where 274, size 24, 4X shirt. I'm now 202, size 18 (never thought I would be so happy about that), XXL shirt. HOWEVER my size 18 jeans are really big so I'm trying on some 16 Wednesday. :D Oh and I'm 5'4. |
