Gary thanks for starting the new thread. Makes the post season seem a lot nearer but thankfully we still have a while to go. We need all the games we can get.

Razz we will do our best against the Marlins. These 4 games are a wild card race for us. We have to do well against them as they are not too far behind us for the wild card.

Pineiro is pitching so anything is possible. Got the game on just now the stadium is practically empty.

Yes much love to the Cards for taking one from those Fish tonight. Now a Dodgers win would make me very happy.

Gee, I don't know if I should post here anymore. Post season??? Not likely for the Rockies. I know they pulled it out of nothing last year, but I'm not feeling very positive anymore. We host the DBacks tonight... maybe we can slow them down!!!

Red Sox led Texas 10-zip at the end of the first, with Ortiz getting to bat twice, each time hitting a home run.

Now, at the bottom of the seventh, Texas leads 16-14. Methinks SweetCaroline fell asleep again, LOL.

Thumbs up

My apologies to SweetCaroline for getting a bit nervous before the fat lady sung. Final score: Boston 19 - Texas 17. The 36 runs tying the AL record.

Got another win against the fish. We're going for the wild card, don't think we will catch those Cubbies. Now we just need the Brewers to start losing.

Where is everyone?

NOMAH with a walkoff HR to beat the Phillies. Puts the Dodgers in a tie for first, AND the Mets back into a tie for first with the Phillies. Thank you Dodgers, and Cardinals too, keep up the good work!!

Clyde: Maybe everyone is off watching Olympics rather than baseball!

Gary: Well, we pulled off a win for you! Beat the DBacks which puts you in a tie for first. Hopefully we can win again tonight. We're still back 8 games, so I don't hold out much hope unless you at the top could do some losing!

Razz: Boy, the Mets are on a roll!

Nice game for our Mets last night. Although my heart went out to the Nationals' pitcher who gave up all those runs in the 3rd...after the inning was over, they showed him in the dugout and he looked shell-shocked.

Still, it's nice to be back in first place, even if we're not alone there.

I think Wagner's coming back next week.

Took another one from the Fish.

The Brewers lost today so that helps us as well.

Onto Cincinnati.
