We know that just about all politicians are corrupt in one way or another. Most of them are discrete about it. This guy was blatant.
I thought we weren't supposed to be discussing politics on the boards...
I think that was for the election and the propositions, etc. I think TPTB wanted to avoid arguments over things like Proposition 8 here in Calif. Also, they probably wanted to avoid candidate bashing.
I grew up in Chicago during the later years of the Dailey Machine. Who can forget, Vote early, Vote often!!! A lot of dirty politicians there!
You forgot to Vote White, too. My parents tell me this saying all the time, its sorta like a joke. My parents are from Chicago I guess they could make a joke about that.
It's funny because (being originally from Chicago, only moved to WI last year), Blagoveich has been under SOOO many investigations that it was about d@mn time he got caught! It kind of stinks because pretty much if you're from IL, you know that when it comes to elections, you almost want to write in other names instead of the candidates running because the majority of them are just kind of...bleh. You don't want to vote for either of them!
Definitely about time someone got hard proof of his corruption!
