My DD came home from college today and brought me a gift.

A Burnt Sienna crayon.

Seems SOMEWHERE I posted (said)???? that it was my favorite color but I thought they didn't make it any more. She bought crayons (to make handmade Christmas cards for her friends) and found a Burnt Sienna crayon and gave it to me.

Can someone say 'sweet?'

Awesome Allison!

My nephew came home tonight for his first NAVY leave ....for a few minutes before going with friends...and gave me a "I love you Uncle Gary hug"....and a pile of dirty laundry!

Hurry up, folks. I leave on Monday and want to be on hand to close this thread. (I have simple pleasures in my life these days - pretty pathetic!)

Bargoo~care to share your recipe? My chile verde usually comes out of a bottle and I just add pork. While it's good, nothing is better than homemade.

I'm with you, sister. I've had to cut back from my two forums to about 2-3 threads on each. This one is my favorite. I'm very protective of it. I started a thread couple of days ago that I thought was pretty benign and now got hurt feelers going on. Fagget about it. Some people just can't take a joke.

OK, so anyhoo. I'm not bringing the liquor or beer. UT stinks for that. Beer is 3.2 and everything else is WAAAY expensive. I'll make the Pico de Gallo as long as everyone brings some asbestos to line their tongues with. Better have some full fat milk and sour cream on hand. Those can be real lifesavers on Mexican Nite.

I'll make homemade herb bread. I made 6 loaves Tuesday night for a luncheon at work. Prefer yours with olive oil or butter on top?

Love olive oil on herb bread, but butter is a vice of mine. Almost anything is better with butter.
