  • In a checkout line yesterday I eavesdropped on a grandma talking to a grandpa on the cell phone ... "I don't know ... Twilight or something like that ... I think they're about vampires .... there's three or four books and apparently Ashley wants them all ...."
  • I can't say that vampires turn me on !
  • My daughter went to the movie and said that it was so romantic. She said that it is not a good movie to see with a boy (like I would let her go to a movie with a boy...) because the boy would get jealous of how hot the actor is.

Then she said that she would like to tell all of the boys that they should be that romantic. I told her that the reality is that she would have more fun with a funny/interesting/smart guy than with a romantic guy. ha!
  • I read an interesting article that links the beginnings of vampire talk to a rabies outbreak in the 1700s. I guess people and animals who get rabies do some strange things and then they die so people saw this and made up stories about how and why they acted that way.

Dibbs on first copy of your book where you explain how to sell this idea to young girls. Vampires seem to be over my head. But failure to sell ideas like this to a DD - BTDT. Wishing you better success.
  • Bill, with all of her wisdom at 14 years old, I'm not sure she hears much of what I say. I just keep saying it. ha!
  • Hmmm..... since the 14 year olds know everything, perhaps they should write the book. And then have to read it out loud when they turn 24.
  • I don't know how "romantic" it is to wake up and have some boy (vampire or not) staring at you. Creepy if you ask me.

And you usually outgrow the romantic stuff anyway.

    ............
You should have seen the looks I got

Angie has brown spots on her lemons...they seem to wash off....anyone know what it might be?
  • Are these lemons on the tree or already picked?
  • They get the brown spots while on the tree, WEB
  • Can be from mites or some type of fungus. Also can be mold. I'd keep doing what you're doing - washing it off and eating the fruit.

  • Thanks WEB...I will pass the link on to Angie.

Off in a few minutes to ex-wife's for our family monthly get together ...should be good...Mexican fiesta...we are bringing Angie's "famous" spanish rice.
  • btw i am a little strange. and i think a vampire would be very creepy, but he is quite romantic, probably has something to do with the fact that he was born at the end of the 19th century, who knows.

i'm jealous of your mexican fiesta Gary, spanish rice is my favorite kind of rice! the one thing i actually like when my bf cooks haha
  • Mexican Fiesta! How fun!
