What is something that nobody could possibly know about you?

Ok, so it doesn't have to be something HUGE - it can be as little as your favourite brand of mineral water, the kinds of pets you have or as big as being in love with someone who doesn't know it yet.

This thread is here for entertainment and getting to know our fellow 3FCers a little better.

I'll go first.

Something nobody on 3FC could possibly know about me is... I have never tried squash.

So... What is something that nobody on here could possibly know about you?

raw23 11-11-2008 05:19 PM

I tried to pierce my belly button by myself when I was 12. Using a sewing needle. Nothing else. I didn't get far... and it hurt. So no belly button ring.

kelly315 11-11-2008 05:46 PM

Rebecca- I tried to do the exact same thing, I think I was 13 or 14. I shudder just thinking about it.

amandarose17 11-11-2008 05:46 PM

I actually like French toast. I never tried it and I just always assumed I hated it until I did try it. However, I am stubborn and when anyone in my family asks if I want French toast, I say no I don't like it.

Beautiful Ace 11-11-2008 05:48 PM

When I was 16 I had low self esteem and slept around a fair bit. But now that I've grown up and matured a lot, I refuse to sleep with anybody that I'm not in a relationship with.

Yeh I'm that honest. lol

mazza 11-11-2008 05:52 PM

Rebecca and Kelly - I pierced my friend's ear with a safety pin when I was 15.

rileyozzy 11-11-2008 06:11 PM

I buy really expensive jeans and I live in an area that nobody, but me, knows they are that expensive.

luvja 11-11-2008 06:12 PM

I pierced my own nose.... twice. With a sewing needle. and now have a scar on my nose. :(
I aslo pierced a few holes in my ear with a sewing needle.
I was so dumb.

aphil 11-11-2008 06:33 PM

I actually successfully pierced my own nose. I had friends who worked in tat/piercing places, so I knew how as far as placement/angle...

I did it when I was 21 years old, when I was still working in the hair/nail industry. I mentioned doing it, and someone said "You won't do it." I am extremely stubborn, so that was all I needed. I went into the bathroom, and came out 10 minutes later with a stud in my nose. I am now 33, and 12 years later...it's still there. I have lots of nose jewelry, too. :D

As far as something people couldn't possibly know about me...I had bright blue eyes when I was a child-all the way through elementary school. When I started hitting puberty, my eye color changed. Now they are categorized as hazel...but they have 3 rings of color-amber/golden ring around the pupil, an aqua ring around that, and finally, the outer rim of my eyes is gray.

Beautiful Ace 11-11-2008 06:36 PM

I pierced my own nose successfully when I was in grade 7. lol I have ten holes in my ears that I did myself, and recently I took an ear gun to my lip bored at work, and that was successfull also.

Kofarq 11-11-2008 06:37 PM

Aphil, that's lovely!

I have never had a peanut butter and jam sandwich. Never Ever. It just seems nasty. And guess what? I will Never Ever eat one. EVER!

Wow. My mother teaches iridology and that'd totally fascinate her.

:O .... wow ahaha I thought PB&J was something that everybody has tried... It's not as bad as it looks btw:P

Schumeany 11-11-2008 06:48 PM

Hmmm...there is not a lot that noone knows about me. I tend to share. :) However, I'm doing my best to dredge up something. Well, I have a thing for Anderson Cooper, the CNN Anchor. It adds a whole new dimension to watching the news -- especially when my husband's in the room. :)

kelly315 11-11-2008 07:12 PM

actually, coroners don't have to work with bodies all that much- just ok the crime scene for removal of the body and work on all the office work that has to do with the case. You'd probably get used to blood after a while! I heard about a coroner from Michigan who actually got elected when she was 18, based on no experience besides watching CSI!

HealthPNut 11-11-2008 07:17 PM

Aphil and Mazza- that eye thing is really interesting! My mom has gone a little overboard doing cleanses and such (like to the dangerous point), but her eye color has completely changed from really dark brown to light green! She's convinced she was supposed to be born with blue eyes but since her mom was a drinker she was born with too many toxins. Interesting stuff... but she didn't exactly go about it in a good way.

Schumeany- I looove anderson cooper! Those pretty blue eyes.... haha

The only things I can think of that no one could possibly know about me are bad... not sure if I wanna post them.
Okay, this one is kinda bad, but very honest. I've never been very permiscuous, but one night I got sooo drunk and slept with this friend of mine who is actually kinda a man whore. I didn't tell anyone, but of course he went around bragging so everyone found out! I told them all I didn't remember because I was too drunk (it was hazy, but I definitely remember). I pretended to be totally shocked when someone asked me about it. I feel really bad because they all believed me, so that means they trust and respect me and I totally lied to everyone, including him!

schmalger 11-11-2008 07:20 PM

I am working on a masters degree in history...and have NO intention of being a history teacher. Too bad I didn't have that epiphany before majoring in history! And on the same subject...I am soooo sick of school. :barf:

Beautiful Ace 11-11-2008 07:24 PM

Oh oh!! I buy chop sticks and eat a lot of my food at home with them... I don't know why!

Mom2QJandT 11-11-2008 07:25 PM

Hmmmmm...something no one could know about me? I've shared a lot on this website!

I have a very specific teeth-brushing routine. I have to pre-rinse, brush, floss, bruss, and post-rinse. If I run in to "just brush real fast" I worry that my teeth aren't really clean and end up doing the whole routine.

Hey Mom2QJandT-

We live about 30 minutes away from each other...give or take. (Shelbytucky... ;) )

EZMONEY 11-11-2008 08:24 PM

I have toe jam

mazza 11-11-2008 08:25 PM

I love the smell of carrot juice but I'm not a huge fan of drinking it.

schmalger 11-11-2008 08:26 PM

My hair is curly and straight, depending on whether or not I blow it dry.

WebRover 11-11-2008 08:34 PM

I didn't like peanut butter at all until Reese's peanut butter cups came out. I'm someone else who has never had PB&J.

I rarely eat peanut butter, but when I have Reese's, I only eat the chocolate around the edges! :D

mazza 11-11-2008 08:40 PM

I've never tried a peanut butter cup. Are they as good as they say?

TJFitnessDiva 11-11-2008 08:43 PM

One thing y'all don't know about me? Hmmmm....I'm a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and my favorite animals to rehab are birds of prey and alligators (mainly ones with bone fractures) ;)

NightengaleShane 11-11-2008 08:46 PM

That's awesome to see how many self piercers there are here, even IF most were unsuccessful ;)

I am a very open person and really do not have many secrets, but here is a fun fact:
Before church, my dad always shaved. As a kid, I wanted to be like my dad. I didn't have any facial hair to shave, though, so when I was 8 years old, I shaved my eyebrows off instead.

Oh. And I tend to act like a complete doofus (or worse, a jerk :() when I really want someone to like me. Ironic, huh?

Smiling_Sara 11-11-2008 08:52 PM

very very very few ppl know I have little to zero relationship experience. :o

Beautiful Ace 11-11-2008 08:56 PM

ahaha, I tend to make fun of the people I like too. In a joking way though, like cracking a joke about their shirt or something but then contradicting it to say I really like it.

Me too... I think it's cause I get all :o when I'm trying to act

junebug41 11-11-2008 09:00 PM

I am an expert skate sharpener... hockey skates, specifically.

I could kill Chuck Norris with one of my edges ;)

NightengaleShane 11-11-2008 09:07 PM

Ha... relationship experience... that's another thing - I am far less sexually experienced than most people assume :o  And despite my "alternative" appearance, I'm really somewhat "vanilla"

mazza - my dad laughed and my mom freaked out, then proceeded to cut little snippets from the hair on my head and precisely glued it to where my eyebrows previously were!

I am the same way on the  vs :o thing - I just really want them to think I'm awesome/funny/entertaining and end up coming off as silly, cocky, weird, or just plain smug depending on the person/situation :( Then, I repeat the situation in my head until I torture myself wondering what the other person thought, asking myself, "Why couldn't I have just... been... well... me?"

mandalinn82 11-11-2008 09:17 PM

Aphil - Bizarre - you just described my eyes. I've never met anyone else with the same weird gold/amber, teal/blue outer ring, gray outside that. Mine were blue until I was 8. How strange!

Speaking of shaving stories, when I was 4 or 5, my dad shaved off his beard. When he came home, I REFUSED to believe it was him and screamed my head off whenever he came near me. I screamed that he was a stranger and that I wanted my daddy. I wouldn't let him touch me until it started growing back.

He didn't significantly change his beard again until I was 25.

NightengaleShane 11-11-2008 09:19 PM

Awwww, Manda, that is SO CUTE about your dad and the beard!

schmalger 11-11-2008 09:24 PM

I have a disturbing shaving story...it's disturbing to me anyway! I was nearly THIRTEEN when I started shaving my legs. All of my friends had been doing it for at least a couple of years, but my mom thought I was too young. (Maybe that's why I am such a prude?) But that summer, I was staying with my dad and was planning to go swimming. Well, the hair on my legs matched the hair on my head - dark brown - and I was too embarrassed to go. So I called my mom and asked permission to shave! She said yes. And you know? I don't think I would have done it if she'd said no!!

valpal23 11-11-2008 09:30 PM

Nobody knows it but me - I decided to just work on maintaining my weight through the winter -- and only because of the way weight loss has affected my wardrobe..

I'm a size 14/16 and my main reason for maintaining right now is I bought a sweet professional wardrobe in this size and dont want to have to shell out the hundreds of bucks for all new stuff till spring. I cant afford to till then!

I do too - it helps me eat slower and more deliberately!

Something no one knows about me? Hmmm...
Oh, I know - I love giraffes. I even sponge painted my bedroom in "giraffe" and upholstered one wall in giraffe fabric. I have stuffed giraffes on my dresser, and an old church pew along one wall - redone in giraffe print :D

Not sure that my DH finds giraffes as mood enhancing as I do though

evilwomaniamshe 11-11-2008 09:44 PM

One of my legs is 1/2 an inch shorter than my other leg, so I have quite the
wiggle when I walk! Most people probably think I wiggle and shake my booty on purpose, but seriously I can not help it....

I'm a floss freak, I floss my teeth 4 times a day, thats the secret to my perfect smile.

I wear thongs sometimes, but the majority of the time I go commando!
