We have debated dropping Comcast several times. A few months ago dh had had it with cable. We have three recievers with remotes and high speed internet. We live out in the sticks, if I didn't have high speed internet I would have dialup. I think that would be like watching paint dry after seeing the difference. We pay alot for our cable but like others said it is about the only entertainment that we have. My husband called the cable company and threatened to drop the cable completely and just like that they dropped our month bill by $30 a month. We had heard if you called and complained that they would drop your bill. I never thought it would work so that is why I put dh up to doing it. It worked!!!

Now I get Exercise TV on demand. Right now they have Shred I and II.

Tina - I did the same thing after I noticed our rates continually climbing. They ended up putting me into a package for new customers, dropping my rates from $150 to around $100 a month.

My cable bill runs me around $150 a month for my TV's, DVR and hi-def recorder, phone and internet...

and I don't even have Showtime or HBO!!!....I am yelling this part...

To make it worse for me ....I remember when cable was a cool thing (still is) over that rotary and my bill was $13.00 a month!!

Progress?
