Thread Killer - The Withdrawal, Pain and Anxiety
OK, I'm already suffering Thread Killer withdrawal. I enjoyed having a thread with friendly competition and open expression, w/o controversy and judgments. Thanks everyone who participated. It was a blast.
And BillBlueEyes is still a cheater.:p:D(and BTW Bill, yes I have sooo often considered the idea that I really should be wearing rain gear while operating my truck just so I could match the color scheme of my truck ala Martha.) |
oh thank god you started this!
|
3 down, 497 to go.
Unless someone cheats and goes over 500. Again. :p . |
It's so sad when a perfectly good thread bites the big one.
|
So when do we get our Thread Killer I T-shirts?
|
I wear a size medium.
|
I want a dragon on mine. And Operator's truck!
|
Quote:
my goal! and when I do get a size medium I"m weraing it inside out with the tag saying MEDIUM showing! |
Quote:
Sure why not |
Heh. I bought a pair of medium workout pants by mistake. Imagine my surprise when they FIT??? *thud*
I'm still in a large t-shirt though. Comes from having boobs! :) . |
Whoever did the threadkiller picture in the 'now passed away thread' did a good job. Can that person do us up a shirt?
Operator, my Hubs is a Heavy Duty Mech and works on trucks like yours. |
If he wants to work for crappy wages and lousy treatment, he can come work at my mine.
|
I'm so happy so very happy
I've got the fix to nix the anxiety in my heart Had a great afternoon in the wonderful warm sun came home checked the General Chatter and whoo hoo! You chicks came thru for me! Have a wonderful evening all! |
Morning!
|
Well now. Away for the weekend and look at all that's happened!
At least we've started a new one :) Thank goodness! What would I do without my usual daily pseudo-competition humor outlet? |
Oh good!!! Randomness is back! I love a thread that has ADD. :)
Good title to the thread, by the way! |
Operator, if you want great wages and awesome treatment, you can go work at his. Northern Alberta, 3 weeks on 3 weeks off.
Q - How many people with ADD does it take to change a lightbulb? A - Hey, look! A squirrel! LOL! Sorry if I offended anybody. I have ADD, and that's pretty much how my brain works! |
My son does to and that is so him LOL

I have ADHD I was diagnoised in 1969 when they still called it Minimal Brain Dysfunction. my favorite shirt is: "My friends say I have ADD, I say they.......OHHHH Shiny thing" |
Kofarg-Yeah, my X's company just got him a passport so he can tour some of their mines in Canada. We've even talked about both working up there once our youngest gets out of high school.
My DD's T-shirt ends with--Oh, look at the bunny. And, I finally have a Thread Killer, so be warned. Once I'm able to post a picture of my new puppy, there will be no way for y'all to follow-up. |

Ha, ha! Those are funny!
I just love this thread. It makes me laugh. |

23 down, 477 to go.

Do you really drive one of those monsters? Just how big is it? The little boy in me is sooo jealous. |
Yep, I do. They're 100 ton empty and payload 250 ton. I chose that image in order to show the scale. My head actually doesn't come up quite as high as "Yellow Man's". I used to have an image of it(a Cat 793) sitting next to a 777 that I would send out for comparison with other folks in construction and mining, but I realized most folks here wouldn't have that as a mental reference. We also run Komatsu 930s which are just a bit bigger.
BTW, this may give you something to think about when deciding whether or not to cheat next time.;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfnK8...eature=related And if your "little boy inside" really wants to be impressed, check out the machine my X ran before becoming a Safety Director. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUlMq...eature=related This one is Ursa Major(yeah, they name their machines) and is in WY also. His was just a little smaller. |
Score: Cat 793 - 1, Pickup - 0
Ouch - that's a big hauler. The pickup in the YouTube flick didn't have a chance.
And that 777 just boggles the mind. Thanks for the links. |
Gosh I love the fact that deodorant exists.
I'm glad we no longer have to walk around stuffy rooms with perfumed hankies up to our noses to cloud out the smell of human body odor. :cloud9: |
Here's our new guy. Joined the family yesterday. Try to follow this.

Operator - What a cute wuddle fuzzy wuzzy ^_^
|
Ooooh I just want to rub my face in his fur! So sweet! Breed type? name?

Boobs? Boobs! You've lost all that weight and you still have boobs?!? Sheesh, mine have gone all bye-bye. But, I guess at my age, having little perky girls that aren't staring at my belly button when I get out of the shower is almost as good as cleavage  I came back after the weekend and logged onto 3FC practically trembling with dread that our beloved threadkiller thread would be but a fond memory. Thank heavens there are so many chickies with slightly off center humor to keep it alive! :grouphug: |
Congrats, Operator on the new puppy!
(Me: Awwwwwe!) Well.. I can see I'm going to have to make more of an effort to stay caught up with you guys! Have we got any Heroes fans in the house? Have they all seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX3TRcKNf5E :D |

But he is sooooo worth the wait.

I appreciate indoor plumbing and running hot water. :)
And of course this crazy thread. <462> |
WebRover - I was born and raised in WY and now live in UT. As the year continues into winter I absolutely ADORE indoor plumbing and hot water.
|
I visited a family for two weeks that had running water but no water heater. Even though it was summer and warm, that shower water was "refreshing". I've appreciated hot water ever since. I wouldn't care to experience it in the way far north in the winter. :fr: (blue being the appropriate color!!!)
I've spent a fair amount of time in SLC (job related - late 1980's) and I'm sure I've seen your mine from the air. |
