man, only three? I bounce around a lot and my dvr records a LOT. I almost never get to watch them.

1. 24
2. Scrubs
3. CSI

honorable mentions: Jon and Kate +8 (it's family friendly - DS loves it), every single baby show on Discovery Health and TLC, What Not to Wear, DWTC (although I miss it far too often), The Office (bbc version only) when it was on, House, etc.

I've never been able to watch everything that I dvr, and it's hard for me to remember when my favorite shows are on to get home to watch them. I usually end up missing quite a few shows a season. Oh well.

OMG! I can't believe I forgot Rescue Me...I freakin' love that show and can't wait for it to start...they keep teasing me with the reruns.

Firefly
Heroes
Buffy

but that's just the top three... I'm sure a lot of you could guess other faves based on the above info. ;)

Top 3:
1. Burn Notice
2. ARMY Wives
3. Greek

Also really really really like: Gilmore Girls, House, Dancing with the Stars, Privileged, Friends...etc etc etc...lol

I honestly hate most of what is on tv right now...I hate talk shows like Maury Povich (stupid dna paternity testing on every single day...and each woman is testing 7 different possible fathers), and I also hate any sort of competitive reality show. I can't stand American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, Amazing Race, and all of that crap. Those sorts of reality shows remind me of "The Running Man" from the 80's...or "The Truman Show". When those movies both first aired...they seemed so out there, like that could never happen-but it is what tv IS turning into.

I'm not really into "out there" drama like Desperate Houswives, Ugly Betty, or Swingtown, either.

It seems like all of the shows I really loved are no longer on the air...some of my all time favorites have been:

~X-Files
~Northern Exposure
~Seinfeld

I tend to like witty, intelligent humor over slapstick...

As far as what is actually on NOW...I don't watch a whole lot. Just a few I do like though, are:

~Monk
~My Name Is Earl
~Scrubs

I'll be SOOOOO glad when the whole competition reality tv fad is over...

I DISPISE reality t.v.
Never ever have I enjoyed it... Everyone is so obsessed with it in my life... I can't stand it!

If I had to pick my three favorites I would say:

1. Bones
2. The Minute Man
3. Eureka

Heroes, Lost and Burn Notice are my runner ups.
Many of my favorites are no longer on the air. I love the fantasy and science fiction mixes like Firefly, Buffy, Angel, X-Files (although the new show Fringe shows promise, and Sanctuary looks like it might be good), Xena, Hercules.

LindsayL0ve 09-19-2008 10:11 AM

mine are:

1. Chuck
2. Psych
3. Ugly Betty.

I don't watch that much t.v. These are the ones i can't miss though.

gossip girl, grey's anatomy and ugly betty!

ANOther 09-19-2008 12:08 PM

1. Amazing Race
2. Deal or No Deal (doesn't anybody watch that??)
3. I don't really watch that much TV other than news shows, reruns of 2 1/2 Men and Everybody Loves Raymond (because my mom likes them), and old movies but #3 is a tossup between Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, stuff like that

Here are my 3 favs that are currently on the air:

1) House
2) Criminal Minds
3) Bones

My 3 absolute favs that are no longer on the air:

1) Sex and the City
2) Gilmore Girls
3) Will & Grace

Same here. I don't watch much tv and many of the shows listed I've never heard of.

I had never heard of this show, but my husband bought the season on DVD. We watched it all and loved it. Very disappointing it was only one season.

Hmm. I don't watch a ton of tv either, but besides watching the Astros' games here are the ones I like that are still on:

1. TBL
2. Deadliest Catch
3. Dan Ho Show

Of all time:

1. Six Feet Under
2. Friends
3. Firefly

I mostly watch Astros and documentary type shows on History, Science Channel, Discovery, etc. TBL is the only regular show that I make a point to watch every week. The others I just enjoy when I catch them.

Schumeany 09-19-2008 01:44 PM

Currently:

Lost
Heroes
Scrubs

All Time:

Seinfeld
Star Trek Next Generation
X-Files

Oh, and I do love Law and Order. They are consistently good, and fairly self-contained inside individual episodes so I feel like I can just pick-up and watch one without being too confused by storylines.

Mostly, however, I am a total news junkie. I watch WAY more CNN than is healthy. ****, I even watch CSPAN...

However, reality TV freaks me out...I do not watch any.

Hat Trick 09-20-2008 10:46 AM

Three? Oooo, that's tough.

1. Friday Night Lights
2. Lost
3. Big Bang - hysterical
4. Mad Men

Oops, that 4 but who's counting? ;)

Also on the list:

Fringe (oh I so hope this show makes it), Heroes, The Office. LOVED Jericho but of course, they canned it.

Favorite all time?

ALIAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jules1216 09-21-2008 07:11 AM
