Great three, PhotoChick!

1. Mad Men
2. True Blood
3. Californication

and

4. Dexter
5. L Word
6. Big Love

And not necessarily in that order! Thank goodness for HBO, Showtime, and AMC.

PhotoChick 09-17-2008 01:00 PM

Oh sheesh. Yeah, and Big Love. Great show.

I haven't started Dexter yet, but it's on my Netflix list.
Oh, another one I'm using Netflix for is Dead Like Me.
I'm having a hard time getting into True Blood, but I'm continuing to Tivo it - I really like Anna Paquin.

Ok, seriously I don't really watch TV all the time. I Tivo things and get them on Netflix and watch things in fits and starts.

Yeah, I know. Who am I fooling huh? :D

Since we only have antenna (and hardly any time to watch TV), my current favorites are:

1. House
2. Bones
3. Fringe

Although the latter hasn't fully validated itself yet in its function as effective X-Files methadone. Gah, I still miss that show even though it deteriorated horribly towards the end. I also have an inordinate fondness for Gilmore Girls, and I worship Joss Whedon and all of his creations, most of all Firefly. I have high hopes for his upcoming one, Dollhouse, which will probably be awesome and then get canceled after 10 episodes... :dizzy:

grneyedmustang 09-17-2008 01:04 PM

1) Nip/Tuck
2) Family Guy
3) America's Next Top Model

Weeds gets an honorable mention. I don't have shotime, though, so I have to rent it. Survivor, too. I just hate that Survivor is not on all the time.

And I'm ashamed to admit, I religiously watch "I love NY/Money/Charm School/Rock of Love" and probably every other "Flavor of Love" spinoff created. I know it's trash, but just like a train wreck, I can't help but to watch!

Hello, me! :)

I'm with ya on all of that. The jury is still out on Fringe. It's aonther one we're Tivo-ing and watching, but not committed to yet. We actually picked up the first 4 seasons of x-files on DVD at Costco a few months ago and have been going thru them in order. It's been fun!

I miss Firefly/Serenity, but I guess after Joss killed off 1/2 the cast, it's not going to be brought back. *sob*

I have no shame. I watch a considerable amount of TV. Heck, I could probably give you three favorites per NIGHT. BUT...

1. Grey's Anatomy
2. House
3. Monk

(Followed By: Brothers and Sisters, Heroes, the L Word, Weeds, Dexter, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, and Project Runway. And Survivor. And Penn and Teller's show on Showtime with the inappropriate name...)

I'm a DVR and catch up person myself - I also watch very few shows with full attention (I go off and do other things while they're on, and listen enough to follow the plots). Only my real favorites do I SIT for.

I'm *so* glad someone else does that. My husband can't stand it when I do it. But quite honestly, I have too much to do to just sit and stare at the TV. I work on my laptop downstairs, sort through mail and filing, etc. But then I've always been able to multi-task and he is one of those "one thing at a time" type people.

What's funny is that often I'm able to follow and remember the plot better than he is ... I guess I've developed that skill.

dlphnmomva 09-17-2008 01:21 PM

I am a TV junkie so i will participate even though i am having a hard time Narrowing it down to 3 also. I guess i would have to say:

1. Grey's Anatomy
2. Prison Break
3. Fringe

But my all time Fav is FREINDS!!! i know all the words to like every episode. My hubby thinks i am nuts. lol

mandalinn82 09-17-2008 01:21 PM

Photo - that's us exactly. I'll be doing the dishes (or working, or typing away here, or etc) and Sarah will ask me what happened, and she's the one sitting there watching with full attention.

I also do a lot of crafting while I watch TV...I've been beading lately. If I -just- have the TV in front of me, I tend to get bored.

Shannon1983 09-17-2008 01:40 PM

So very sad but true - and one of them was my favorite character (of the show, but possibly of *everything*) too. :(

Whedon is really, really evil that way. Have you checked out Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog? Yup, does it again. And it's only three frigging episodes. Grrrrrrr.

Nevaeh 09-17-2008 02:19 PM

1. The First 48
2. Dr. Phil
3. Cops

CandyKisses0204 09-17-2008 02:34 PM
