Default Healthy Lifestyle and the Random UA

This ever happen to anyone?

I drink quite a bit of water and I also take multivitamins. So last week mine was the magic number and I got to pee for the company. When I hand the boy my cup it is a very bright flourescent green. Gotta love those B vitamins. That boy looked at me like I was some kind of alien from another galaxy.

A few years back, when I was in construction, I had to do one and it came out crystal clear. It was the middle of July and I had drank about 2 gallons of water that day. That woman actually accused me of flushing. I had to remind her that it was a random and I didn't even know about it until she showed up 10 minutes earlier.

So has anyone else had their healthy lifestyle come back to bite them in the butt in strange and/or unusual ways?

My OB nurse always comments on the bright green pee that I turn into her. B vitamin supplements will do that to you.

A new nurse took my sample once and said something to the effect of "Oh my, let's get this to the lab and find out what is wrong with you".....nothing, dear.

It scares me when nurses don't realize the effects of prenatal vitamins on a girl's urine......and how many women must not be taking proper prenatals!

This doesn't affect pee, but I started Weight Watchers while I was still nursing my son and I remember pumping my breasts at work one day and my milk came out a funny shade of light blue. I think my diet was too low in fat and the milk was so blue due to no fat, like skim milk? I showed it to a lactation nurse and she had never seen anything like it.

Murph - that is crazy! I'll have to keep that in mind when starting P2 when I'm nursing...

I took my DD in for a check up while I was still nursing. I asked the doc to check her breasts b/c she had lumps that looked like Lifesavers under her nipples. He gave one a squeeze and milk came out. Turns out babies can pick up enough hormones off Mom to begin lactating themselves. I had never heard of that before. But at least her milk wasn't blue .

Called "witches milk". I've seen it on babies where I work.

I never experienced the green pee while on multivitamins.

But the electric orange from UTI medication is GREAT during a drug test!

My daughter had blue green poop after eating a Flintstones blue push-up pop one time. She was pretty little and hollered at everyone to come see after she did her little number. She still remembers it! Boy this thread is degrading.

My breast milk was always light blue, but my babies still got fat so it must've been ok and Fruit Loops make for very interesting #2's in children

Off topic.

Did you know that purple pee is also a symptom of Propheria which is the disease that made damn near every royal head of Europe completely insane during the 17th and 18th century. Victoria probably suffered from it too. But, she wound up sending hemophilia throughout the royal families instead.

OK back on topic.
