I finished the House at Riverton and it was kind of eh. The mystery that interested me was initially too obvious and then completely dropped. It did have a very compelling beginning and the ending was okay, I found the middle of the novel such a slog I almost gave up on it!
In contrast, I just finished Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Soceity and I loved it. It was hard to get started, I almost gave up (I find epistolary novels overly twee) but by page 67, I was completely hooked and just drank the novel as quickly as possible! A great book, I will probably give a copy to my mom for Christmas. Picked up a stack from the library today, I'm so behind. Not sure what I'll read next! |

Just starting to read
Secrets of a Former Fat Girl by Lisa Delaney |
Started re-reading George RR Martin's series A Song of Ice and Fire- I'm still on book one A Game of Thrones - only to find out that the chick at the bookstore was wrong - there is no next book coming out at the end of this month. So crushed... but I'm still gonna re-read them in anticipation for whenever it does finally come out.

Neverwhere...a novel by Neil Gaiman. I really have started to love his unusual weird and not normal books. I like not normal LOL
|
I just finished Small Favor by Jim Butcher. I love his Dresden files books. Now I am looking of ideas of what to read next. I love science fiction and fantasy stories.
GatorgalstuckinGa: I loved Neverwhere. Neil Gaimen is an awesome writer. Stardust and Good Omens (co-authored with Terry Pratchett) are my favorites by Gaimen. |
After finishing all four of the Twilight series (in only 2.5 weeks!) I picked up Inside the Kingdom by Carmen bin Ladin and am now reading Mad Dash by Patricia Gaffney. I have all the Jen Lancaster books up next followed by Host by Stephenie Meyer and a couple others that I can't remember the title/author.
