Company - two adults, four teens and a dog - for two days and then Monday is ALL MINE!
If the weather is good, they'll be out in the boat all day both days - they joys of living between two lakes.
....most likely I'll be evacuating. (The only good side will be that I'll get to see a couple of friends I haven't seen in about a year)
URGH. I am so over the stupid hurricanes already.
DH is talking about a jaunt down to The Strip for some prime people watching
I'm planning a trip to Lowes or Home Depot (or both) for a new vacuum cleaner. Of course, when in those stores, I never come home with *just* what I went for so I see some serious reorganizing happenin' with the extra day off.
I'll be watching the weather too & might be doing the same thing. I have supplies left from Eduard so don't really need anything except alcohol...lots of alcohol.
Besides that, I'm going to try to get all sorts of stuff organized at home & throw stuff out.
"I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I thought it could be!"
(One of my favorite lines from "Office Space")
Don't feel bad-- that's all I have planned to "do" this weekend, too. Maybe go out to dinner with my brother and SIL, but other than that, there's nothing on the agenda.
well i have to work on monday- but tomorrow i'm giving my house the cleaning it deserves and hasn't had in a long time- then off for game night with friends. Sunday- hubby and i are going on a date! i think we're going to a movie and for a nice long walk at the river.
Minnesota State Fair on Labor Day (and bracing self for the Republican convention starting across town on the same day I'M NOT MAKING ANY POLITICAL STATEMENTS HERE, JUST REPORTING AN UPCOMING EVENT)
If time permits I should get over to Target and get some shelving units, we just had a paint job on our 3-season porch (which is for all intents and purposes just a storage room/way station to garbage and recycling and the painters are throwing a lot of stuff out and taking it away) and a few shelves or a cabinet would help a lot
Let's see.. Nothing exciting.. I canceled on my poor grandparents again for the second time since I am too tired to make the 90 minute drive one way to go and visit them. They suggested meeting in a town half way for the both of us in the next couple of weeks so we may try that. I feel guilty though! But I just started a full time job that is taking a lot of my time and plus I do night/online college as well. Then just the daily grind of more laundry, more grocery shopping so that I can get back OP. Then homework then Monday I get to spend the day with my hubby since we are actually both off. I'm really looking forward to it, we're not doing anything but just hanging out at home since we're broke until I get my first paycheck which isn't for almost a month.
