how do you deal with stress?

  • When frustrated - cry.
    When lonely - read excellent poetry (Hafiz and Tagore always do it for me)
    When overwhelmed - make lists.
    When angry - go to the gym and lift more reps than necessary or run like crazy on the treadmill.
    When worried or fearful about money, job, health - confront the fear.

    I just know I have to make it through the day and I have to adjust my attitude. Got to do those things that are necessary to keep living a positive life.
  • Let's see....these are some of the things I do when I'm stressed.

    Play the theme from Forrest Gump on the piano.
    Clean something ferociously while yelling at everyone within sight.
    Destroy something with a sledge hammer.
    Hide in my room and watch Star Trek

    Oh wait a minute....I bet you wanted suggestions on what people should do.

    no- i hear you. I turn into speed cleaning freak - nothing adds to my stress more then sitting in a dirty house. Nothing relieves my stress as much as verbally abusing my husband! lol
