Gary, I always appreciate prayers for me, my DD B. and DH J.; Thanks so much!

We all have been struggling with anxiety, worries and depression. We need more harmony and prosperity. We are working together as a family and are asking for all the Spiritual support and help we can get.

Heavenly Father, We know your desire for us is that our families are free from worries and depression. We also know that we need your guidance to do your will to make it so. I ask today Lord that you lead and guide my dear friend Soul and her family as she goes through these trying times. I pray that you bring prosperity to Soul and her family according to your will and your way...In Jesus name...Amen.

Tonite she told me just to never speak to her again. Right now I'd like to go have a talk with her, but I can't handle another battle after what we've already had this evening and feel we both need some cooling off time. The big blow up tonite was cause I asked her to take the dogs out for their walk because I was sick at my stomach.

Also, please have your congregation send up prayers for all our service men and women who provide the freedom that we all enjoy. My son will soon be joining them overseas. Deep down I think this may be a big part of what is bothering his sister.

Heavenly Father, My dear friend Lily is having struggles with her daughter. I ask that you give her the strength to relate to her daughter as you see fit. We know that teen-agers can be very troubled in today's world and sometimes their hurt and anger is directed at the ones they love the most. I ask that you lead and guide them to find common ground on which to begin to mend their troubles. In Jesus Name we pray...Amen.

Gary, may your congregation be blessed beyond expectation for reaching out to others this way! You all will be in our prayers.

We have a friend who was stationed with my husband at the Air Force Honor Guard in DC who was diagnosed with heart issues a couple years ago. He's 30 years old, on the transplant list, and spends most of his time in the hospital because his heart is too weak for him to even live a normal, sedentary life. He has a wonderful wife and two young boys, who obviously want to see him get better! Praying for a transplant is always tough because it means someone else has to die, so this is a tough time for all of them.

Also, I know a lot of folks are praying for peace in the middle east but the situation in North Korea could also use our prayer attention.

Again, thank you Gary for lifting all of our prayers and concerns up!

Kara

Heavenly Father, my dear friend Kara's friend needs a new heart. I know how painful that can be from my own brother's experience. We know that in miraculous ways you recieve chosen souls into heaven with you and leave your created body parts behind to continue to give life to others. We come before you today asking for a miracle, as only you can provide. In Jesus Name we pray...Amen

Thanks and HUGS for doing this

Heavenly Father, My dear friend Michelle is really having a tough time right now. Her husband is currently away from her and her children. As she struggles with the fear of the unknown I ask that you reassure her that you are now and always will be looking over her husband. He is your very own creation. I ask that you bring him and all of our TROOPS home safely and soon! In Jesus Name...Amen.

I ask that you lead and guide her husband to the person or program that will help cure him of this terrible disease. I ask that you also continue to strengthen Synergy as she seeks character to be the noble wife you desire...in Jesus name we pray...Amen.

Heavenly Father, my friend Nikki's parents are going through a rough divorce. I ask that you lead and guide her as she seeks to move on with her own life. I ask that you give wisdom to her parents that they do your will in all matters concerning their divorce. I ask that you give her family peace. In Jesus name...amen.

Heavenly Father, my friend Natural is hurting now as she seeks to comfort the pain her boss is feeling. Again, I know the pain that cancer can cause in a family's life from my own father's...I ask that you comfort Natural, her boss and the family as they go through this horrible pain...in Jeus Name...Amen/

Thank you for this thread. Not only will you be praying for us, but I (as well as others I'm sure) will as well.

Heavenly Father, You know that my dear friend Tammy's brother is mentally ill. Just as you know that my niece's half brother is. You know that the issues concerning my niece's brother Russell have been very painful to our extended family in the last week. I ask that you reach out and your will be done for Bert and Russell....they cannot do your will on their own...they desperately need your power and strength as do their families! In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus we pray...Amen.

Praying for my daughter and her new baby would be good....she is just starting to begin praying again herself and is talking about taking the baby to church.

Heavenly Father, my dear friend Jules seeks guidance to help her husband as he struggles with his job. I ask that your will be done as her husband goes through this journey. I ask that you bring back the love he had for his job or lead him to a place where he can be of service to you. Father we also come before you today asking that you place the desire for Jule's daughter to come to you in worship. I ask that you lead and guide her to a church that is your will for her...In the name of Jesus...Amen.

After a quick look through the CNN website, reading about the poor babies that were thrown off a bridge by their own father, the pregnant Marine who was killed, etc. -- it is comforting to read your thread again Gary (and to be honest, when I first read it, I was curious if it was a topic others would shy away from) -- to be reminded there are people in the world who still care about others, wish no harm to come to anyone and provide any support they can to make others lives better. Thanks for the thread Gary  So, prayers to everyone that life brings them all they desire and that Gary's church raises lots and lots of money!!! :D

I have tears in my eyes and I'm all choked up. This is a mighty and powerful thread!

Gary, thank you so much.

This is a wonderful thread and gives us more things to pray about! Thank you, Gary.

NightengaleShane 01-15-2008 09:36 AM

Wow, what a thread.

Gary, I actually pray for you from time to time and ask God to put blessings upon you and your family, as you seem to be a very good and genuine person. :)

I do have a couple requests: if you could, prayers for my financial situation would be appreciated. I have a huge mountain of debt and feel like I hardly make enough money to survive. I'm doing everything I can to improve this, but prayers are always appreciated. The other thing? Pray that I find the path in life that makes me happiest, whatever that means in God's eyes.

Shelby, everyone needs prayers in their life! As human beings WE need to pray. Prayer can be a very powerful thing. I hope we rasie a lot of money too. But seriously...our church never ASKS for money! We let the congregation know what things cost to build or operate...after that it is up to them.

Thank you SHANE, that means a lot to me!

Heavenly Father, my dear friend SHANE is having financial trouble at the moment. I ask that you help her it that situation as she seeks employment to better not only herself but her community. Father, Shane has asked for prayers to help her in her quest for happiness, Father, Shane and I have a lot in common and also in differences, I pray that you show each of US the PATH you want of us to travel for your glory! Through this, and your Word, I trust in you that we will find happiness. In Your dear son's name we pray...Amen.

THINBYJUNE 01-15-2008 11:35 PM

Gary, I actually don't have a prayer request as I have been blessed even in the most difficult times or I couldn't have made it through them :) I just wanted to let you and your congregation know that you all are in my prayers, as is everyone here.

cbmare 01-16-2008 01:06 PM

May I jump into this pool? Gary, bless you. Thank you and thank you to Angie, too. Both of you have hearts of gold.

My older DD is really perplexing the family. I just found out that she is on anti-depressants. I never knew that. She hasn't been taking them and her daughters are at their wits end. Whenever she has a man friend, her fibromyalgia is in check. She is active and fun to be around. Whenever the relationship is over, she's almost bedridden in incredible pain. The girls (soon to be 18 and 16) have to take over running the house. She's gone back to college and is working p/t. I'm happy for the college. I'm not sure if everything the girls are feeling isn't just the teenage "I hate my mother" phase. They are very active in their church. I just hope someone in the church family will reach out before those girls run away. Prayers for them would be appreciated.

A prayer of thanks is in order as well. The company where boobalah works just had a massive layoff yesterday. He had to layoff one of the guys who has worked for him for 10 years. The thanks is that boobalah dodged the bullet there. So, thank you, God, for that one.

I'm praying that boobalah can transfer to another division. He's been complaining about his job for years. I finally sat down with him the other night and told him to stop complaining or start contacting people who have transferred out and see if he can go there. He's putting feelers out now.

Thank you again, Gary, my friend. You and your congregation are in my daily prayers.

Tonight was BUNKO night in our house...nephew and I were kicked out...I will catch up tomorrow!

NightengaleShane 01-17-2008 07:56 AM

Gary, thank you.

The fire department called me yesterday and offered me the job. I also have an interview for an even better job next week and will probably get to select between the two.

I think your prayers might have something to do with this ;)

modkittn 01-17-2008 08:27 AM

I am going to join in here. My friend Kelly's niece, nephew, and their mother's twin sister were killed last week in a car accident. Can you please pray for their family that they make it through this trying time in their lives? I am not a religious person, but I know they are and would appreciate it very much.
