Default needed counsellor for consulting about health and wellness.

Hi I am a counselor need health and wellness material that I can put my name on and hand to my clients. Nothing is editable; most of it sucks and is too generic. Does anyone know where I can get free professional wellness fact sheets that I can edit, put my name on them and give them to my patients?

Why don't you create your own? That way it won't be generic, will reflect whatever values are central to your practice, and can be customized for your clients individual needs.

Most info sheets like that won't be editable because their authors have copyright, probably.

Do you mean material that you will present as if you've written it? That may be a legal issue.

However, if you just need information and you want to put a sticker on that says to contact you for more information, then you might be OK.

I like the CDC suggestion. Since you are a consellor, why don't you write some of your own?

My professional organization has "tear-off" sheets that I can use. Some practices put stickers with their contact info onto the sheets but it is always clear who created them. The CDC is a good idea too. Just be sure to be careful to protect the copyright of whatever you use and that you are playing by the rules of the publication. It is the intellectual property of the author.

Any material you did not yourself write, you need explicit permission to use. Period.

Yup.... now would be a particularly bad time to infringe on a copyrighted work.
