  • From my fiance: a huge jewelry box and contact lenses

From my parents: miscellaneous smaller items like bath salts

From my aunt: a gorgeous framed photograph that belonged to my Great Grandparents that I have longed for since early childhood

From my future in-laws: DVD's, books, the cutest scarf and hat set, a gift certificate towards my wedding dress and a nice sum of money to be used towards my "trusseau"

    Santa is good!!!
  • I have to brag first and say that I got my husband a Nintendo Wii. He literally ran around the house like a kid. We have been playing it for a week now-and it is pretty good exercise!

    I got:

~My husband bought me a fire pit for the backyard with stone and copper mosaic around the edge. I have been wanting it for 2 years. He also knows I am a wine lover, and went to a local vineyard and bought me a case of 12 bottles-all of the varieties that are my favorites, and a very nice wine rack to go with them.

I got plenty of other things on my list as well. (We have a HUGE family...)
    ~white bath towels
    ~black/stainless teapot
~14K gold nose ring (mine are all silver)
    ~Bath and Body Works stuff
~3 belly dance dvds that I wanted
    ~new bed pillows
~chocolate truffles (which I am enjoying in moderation, within calorie limits)
~new crystal glasses specifically for red wines
    ~Strawberry Shortcake t-shirt (I collect SS...)
~new New Balance cross trainer shoes

I also got some money, and I bought a new scale I have had my eye on. It does weight, body fat, body fat in POUNDS, checks your bone mass (mine is excellent from all of my exercise!), and checks your body hydration level.

I was SOOOOO excited to get this scale!!!! I love, love, love it!
  • Lots of clothes and small personal items, cash (always a good gift LOL), and my new smoothy making blender since my old one was on it's last legs.
  • Well I got a really great classy USC sweatshirt from my son and daughter in law plus another USC on order ~ daughter and kidnapper son in law gave Angie and I a book of pictures of their wedding they had made...really cool...only problem with it is k-sil is in a lot of the pictures ~ Step-d got me a really nice sweater ~ knucklehead nephew gave me some pj lounge pants with Miller Lite Beer on them...guess they didn't have Miller Draft ` my brother in law drew my name for the extended family, he gave me a couple of USC shirts too.

Angie and I picked out and bought together two new recliners for the family room....that's 3 new recliners this year...we got a new one for the living room several months ago. That was our present to each other.

The kids and I also bought Angie a polenta pot...which she will be using tomorrow night for the New Years Eve party.

I hope you all were nice to

also, for my 2 year anniversary I got a dozon long stem roses, they are still looking very GOOD.

OMG!! I just realized how BLESSED I am. Geeze, spoiled too maybe. I am so blessed to have my boyfriend and family, I think I am going to cry.

Well, I am going to get up and go tell him thank you, again.
  • Let's see....

students and coworkers: the usual assortment of cookie tins, gift cards, christmas coffee mugs, and lotions.

family: my usual main gift of money (which I am thankfully saving for a much needed new computer), a bottle of my fave perfume-Tova, a nice sized Trader Joe's gift card (bless my mom for realizing my finances are going to be tight the next couple of months), Both of Alton Brown's cookbooks from my stepmom, and a basket of groceries with a mini crockpot from my grandmother.

The fun and interesting stuff, though, comes from my shall we say...quircky stepdad: I got 7, yes count them, 7 car airfresheners (in jasmine, pina colada, summer breeze, harmony, lemon lime, sage and citrus, and macintosh scents), a weather watchers calendar, a farmer's almanac, a bottle of Knob Creek whiskey (which I must admit, is some pretty tasty stuff), a miniature Cranium game (just the drawing portion), a little bottle of natural herb bitters (whatever those are), a coffee grinder, a little keychain tool set, and a bottle of wine creatively named "YN". Yeah, I love my stepdad...he keeps life (or at least Christmas) interesting.
  • Oooh, Santa was good to me this year, I'll list some highlights:

From Hubby I got a beautiful Coach patchwork tote (the gold one w/brown suede patches) and from my funny 8 y.o. son, a Coach furry monkey key fob. It's hilarious and I love it!

I got some cool new CD's (Nikki Sixx The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack and Ultimate Santana), from my #3 sister, a gift certificate for a 1 hr massage and spa day! From my #6 sister, a 1 mos. trial membership for the new Y by my house; some divine smelling bath products and lotions and from my parents, cozy new fuzzy pajamas.

The hubby and I hit Las Vegas 2 days after Christmas and he gave me lots of spending money $$$ upon arrival, plus more when he won at the crap tables and black jack. Oh yeah, tickets to see Van Halen while in LV! The show was AWESOME!!!!! David Lee Roth and the Van Halen brothers still rock!

Here's a pic of one of my favorite gifts...the monkey key fob
  • I got an iphone and I can not believe just how much I love it. It does so many different things I've been able to ditch my purse as long as I'm wearing something with pockets.
