For me any song that is Hard rock...it gets my adrenaline pumping. At some points I feel like singing along but dont want to look like a dumb *** at the gym.

Ellie,
You go some good song choices! I really like alot that you picked especially some of those oldies.
I mentioned that I like Lips Like Sugar earlier, but want to add
K.C and the Sunshine's, Keep it Coming Love
Could it be I'm falling in love, The Spinners
Good Vibrations, Mark Walberg
Rich Girl and Holla back Girl, Gwen Stephani
Anything fast, I love to dance a good work out. It's funny, I can dance longer than I work out.

My favorite workout music band is The Fratellis. They've got lots of high energy songs that make you want to dance like crazy. Three best songs are "Henrietta", "Flathead", and "The Gutterati".

Anything sung by Robert Plant. I especially like the "Shine It All Around-Remix" that's after Brother Ray (it's not listed, it's a bonus :D) from the Mighty ReArranger CD. It's got an awesome techno vibe and it makes me work hard on the elliptical. Any rockin' Led Zeppelin hits the spot too! Did I mention I like Robert Plant?

*I also like INXS's greatest hits CD.
*Gwen Steffani's "Holla Back Girl"
*I also like The Tragically Hip and the "Road Apples" CD.

Thanks, Fit! I'm trying to add Rubber Band Man, Under My Thumb (who knew the Stones made so many good workout songs, lol....then again, Mick Jagger is a beanpole so maybe he was onto something!) and Boogie Wonderland (thanks to Happy Feet, lol). The music really does keep me going. I don't do anything for a set time or set count, it's all to the music. In the beginning I used to challenge myself to keep a particular exercise going for the duration of the song. Now, I just change up when I feel like it, just try to keep moving and keep it interesting for myself. :carrot:

Do the Monkees songs he wrote count? ;) He's actually my favorite. :D He's got more "swaying" music than workout music, though. But I may add Forever in Blue Jeans. :p

This was also my Air Supply dilemma. Love them but it's all ballads. ;)

FitinTime 07-22-2007 11:12 AM

Yeah Neil Diamond too,
What's the one called, Cherry Baby?
That one I can dance to as well as, Salvation Traveling Show, Solitary Man and and the one the Monkees do, A Little Bit, A little bit you.
Good Ones!

EZMONEY 07-22-2007 11:16 AM

Of course! TREKKIE I grew up in the MONKEES era...I can still remember the junior high girls debating on who was cuter..DAVY ~ PETER ~ MIKE or MICKEY ........us boys just didn't really understand it! We were probably too busy looking at pictures of Haley Mills

EZMONEY 07-22-2007 11:21 AM

Yep FIT Cherry Cherry ...she got the way to groove me;)

My high school girlfriend and I were big Neil fans...she always wanted to sing that song "SHERRY SHERRY" for the obvious reason ...fun times!

What debate? It was Micky Dolenz, of course. :cloud9:

Hmmm...I'll have to revisit my Neil collection and see what I can pull out. :D

FitinTime 07-22-2007 11:29 AM

I always had a crush on Mike. I always went for the quiet silent type. I could not resist his voice when he sang "Joanne".
Swooonnn!!!

trekkiegirl 07-22-2007 11:55 PM

Oh, I liked when Mike sang "You Just May Be The One" and "Door Into Summer." Actually, one of my favorite Monkees songs that I don't think I mentioned on the playlist is one he wrote and Micky sang, "Mary, Mary." Oh, I do have another Neil Diamond on my mp3..."Hey, Louise." Only if you've seen The Jazz Singer do you remember that one. :p

We just got our oldies station back in NYC (WCBS-FM, what used to be Cousin Brucie's station) after 2 years of JACK-FM (ugh). A few months before it was unceremoniously banished, Micky had become the morning deejay. I'd love to hear him come back.
