Indian Chief..my dad had just directed the play "Black Elk Speaks" with phenomenal costumes and he borrowed a full beaded and feathered headdress for me to wear.

When I was about 10, my mom made me a 'caterpillar' costume that had all these 'hands' and 'legs' up the sides attached to each other (and my hands!) with clear fishing line, and they all moved when I moved my hands...!! I LOVED it, and won 'best costume' at a community center Hallowe'en party! Thanks for the memory!
