Not doing anything special for St. Paddy's Day. Not even wearing green. Wait...I think there is some green in my jammies, lol!

Same question

The kids and I just spray painted some of the foot of snow we got last night green, no corned beef and cabbage (yuck to me!!) but the kids are wearning green and I've been hiding gold (chocolate) coins around the house all day for them to find.

Same question....

Is that really me 03-17-2007 02:47 PM

Yup, digging out from all the sleet and snow we got yesterday and last night!
Am waiting for my scone to come out of the oven.

Same question.

Had lunch with my daughter and a friend and her daughter. Cooking chili in the crockpot for dinner. Going to a "hair" party tonight. And I have no green on....

What's the most serious injury you've ever had?

I LOVE your mini goal! That would have been so much more meaningful to me than st.patty's OR easter. BASEBALL IS ALMOST HERE!!! I hope Meche isnt the headcase for you that he was for us. Great stuff but absolutely no self-confidence.

Injury - was in a car accident in 7th grade and hurt my knee bad. Wasnt life threatening though, was on crutches for 3 months.

same question?

Almost everyone on the Royals' roster gives me a headache!!! haha Hopefully, they will eventually settle into something a little better than perfectly awful! The start of baseball season is a celebration at our house! I throw a party and everything! I've got my 2007 scorebook all ready to go....I'm really a nut about the game.

My worst injury was either a broken tailbone or a finger that was dislocated for a year...toss up. The tailbone hurt the worst but the finger hurt the longest and gave me the most grief... Nothing really major in my life, thank goodness! I just thought of the question because my son wrecked his bike today doing a jump and got a cut on his head that I think is going to require some stitches. I'm still just watching it at this point...but it isn't looking too good. Poor kid.

It's a toss up between falling down the stairs with a basket of laundry and spraining my ankle -or- stabbing myself in the hand with scissors while wrapping Christmas gifts (stitches)

And you?

Serious injury? Torn meniscus and patellar subluxation. My knee was in some serious pain after kneeling in church one morning. Put off seeing the doc until 2 mos. later....dumb move on my part. I am now recovering from arthroscopic surgery and am in some pretty rigorous physical therapy to get me fully mobile again. Ouch!

Susan, OUCH again! :(

Gary, double OUCH!

Next question, what crazy stunts have your kid(s) pulled that ended up with a trip to the emergency room?

My son, then age 6, tried to jump the chain link fence from the neighbor's yard to get home faster. The top part of the fence took a small chunk out of the back of his thigh muscle. He then lied about what he was doing and tried to hide from me while grandpa was trying to stop the bleeding and doctor him up. We ended up in the emergency room with him getting 6 or 7 stitches.

srmb60 03-18-2007 06:18 AM

My son says it's OK to post this .... when he was about 7 and DS2 was about 3, we were building an addition. DS1 one had the crowbar and reached behind him to stick it into the dirt ... but DS2's toe was in the way. Near severed the teeny thing!

If you have a few kids ... you probably have more emergency room stories, right?
