Guess my age - game

Let's give some general hints and see who can guess your age.

Hints for me:

1) Truman was president.

2) The first time I was in college, the country was still mourning the losses of RFK and MLK. (If you have to ask who they are, you're too young to play :D )

EZMONEY 02-22-2007 06:27 PM

59?

EZMONEY 02-22-2007 06:30 PM

OMG! Did I just guess a women's age? On a huge Public SITE!!! What are you thinking boy??

STUPID~STUPID~STUPID

MARE ~ I REALLY MEANT TO SAY 29! 29! HONEST!! :^:

cbmare 02-22-2007 06:34 PM

 Sweetie, I tell people I'm 62. I've been 62 for about 3 years now. I never get tired of them telling me how good I look and that they thought I was in my 40s. That's with all the weight and everything!

BTW. You guessed wrong.

:D

Don't want to be that age again. That was the most painful year of my life.

Spinymouse 02-22-2007 07:00 PM

Nope!

Give some hints for yourself as well, please.

alinnell 02-22-2007 07:19 PM

Okay, for me, I was in diapers when JFK was shot. That ought to be easy.

As for you, RFK was shot in 1968, most college kids start at 18. 18 + 38 = 56. Are you 56?

for me: Music Hints:
Little Kid: I used to think it was "Mrs. Brown, You've Got an UGLY Daughter"
High School: I never want to hear "Taking Care Of Business" again.
College: Fleetwood Mac

jtammy 02-22-2007 08:07 PM

Mare - 57?

Alinell - 45?

When I started school, the kindergarten ahead of me was the first class to go K - 12 desegregated in Mississippi.

A member of the Bush family was a candidate in the first presidential election in which I could vote. (I didn't vote for him!)

When doves cry by Prince was the number one song the year I graduated high school.

lilybelle 02-22-2007 08:14 PM

My son was born the morning the Space Shuttle Challenger blew up. I was 25 when I gave birth. How old am I now?

Hint #2, I was a senior in high school when Elvis Presley died.

cbmare, my guess is 57.

allinell, my guess is 44.

ennay 02-22-2007 08:18 PM

tammy - 41

brb...dd just woke up crying...

ennay 02-22-2007 08:20 PM

lily--lets see I was a junior in highschool when the challenger blew up so you would be...46?

ennay 02-22-2007 08:25 PM

allinel - 45
spiny - ummmm50?

ennay 02-22-2007 08:29 PM

The pregnancy with the baby in my avatar was classified as "advanced maternal age"

EZMONEY 02-22-2007 08:38 PM

ALLISON ~ 29

LILYBELLE ~ 29

jtammy 02-22-2007 09:08 PM

Gary,
Spot on for me! ;) (Don't I wish!)

melekalikimaka 02-22-2007 09:12 PM

There goes Gary trying to rack up more brownie points w/the ladies

for the record, I just got into the bracket for "advanced maternal age" and I was a freshman in high school during the Challenger disaster. Nixon was the prez when I was born... no cheating and looking at my profile

Soggy 02-22-2007 09:16 PM

I'll play.

When I was born, Carter was in office.

When the OJ verdict was read I should have been a junior in high school.

How old am I now?

Too danged young. I watched the OJ verdict back in the 90's while on my second marriage. LOL

For me, 3 months before my birth, Dr. King was arrested and Malcom X was shot to death. It wasn't a good year for black leaders.

I'll second the "too young" part.

EZMONEY 02-22-2007 10:49 PM

You gals are just too sweet to me

You alreqady know how old I am, but ~

When I was 1 week away from my 8th birthday my dad woke me up about 5am to watch John Glenn take off into space for the first orbit of the earth for us. On a little black and white television.

SECRET LOVE by Doris Day was #1 on the charts the day I was born....I :listen: heard ya...who is Doris Day?...funny...funny......NOT! funny ha-ha

RebaR 02-22-2007 10:55 PM

hmmmm.... clues for my age...

I was sophomore in college when the Challenger disaster...

Not that Hurricane Opal compares with some we've had more recently...but Hurricane Opal hit on my 30th birthday....

Senior year in HS... the theme song at football games was Drop the Bomb...

Bear Bryant died my junior year in high school....

geez... can you tell I'm from the south- hurricanes, Alabama football.... LOL

tikanique 02-22-2007 11:30 PM

EEEWW Alabama football and Bear Bryant clues? I'm gonna be ill!

Reba I'm guessing you are 40 heading to 41 during 2007.

Parliament brought the Mothership down when I was in the 1st grade.

Kurtis Blow and the Sugar Hill gang were in steady rotation on my radio in the 7th grade and the World's Fair - Energy Expo was in my hometown during my 9th grade year.

In my senior year of high school we all had to have glitter and lace socks and one lace glove or super straight leg button fly levis WITH the Ralph Lauren shirt, socks and belt to match but you couldn't mix the two looks.

NWA introduced "Gangsta Rap" when I was in college.

Tiki

lilybelle 02-23-2007 07:40 AM

ennay, you guessed it, I'm 46.

Soggy, I'm guessing you to be 27.

alinnell 02-23-2007 09:49 AM

So far lily is closest guesser....I'll be that age next month.

The day the Challenger exploded, I was in college, working at a record store. That's one of those day's I'll always remember. That an 9/11--I was on a business trip when that happened--it was 2 days after my 20th high school reunion.

lizziness 02-23-2007 11:22 AM

This is so much fun. Lets see...

Mt St Helens erupted the year I was born.
Jimmy Carter was president.
I loved me some NKOTB in the 5th grade! (stop laughing, Joey was my boy!)

RobinW 02-23-2007 11:57 AM

ok I'll play

The year I was born....

Nearly all of NBC's programs were broadcast in color by this time.

Montreal Canadians won the stanley cup.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert Downey Jr., Shania Twain, Moby, and Ben Stiller are born.......and me :D

rockinrobin 02-23-2007 12:11 PM

Alinell, I know your age from a previous post so I won't say.

As for me.

I was a senior in high school when John Lennon was assasinated.

EZMONEY 02-23-2007 01:18 PM

LIZZI~ my kids were big on the NEW KIDS ~ you could be their "older" sister...but just by a little! They are just a month or two away from 24 and 26!

techwife 02-23-2007 01:57 PM

Okay...my age...

I wore bell bottoms when I was little

The Partridge family kid I related to was Stacey

The Brady kid I related to was Cindy

and Sesame Street started when I was in kindergarten

at the same time...

The girls I work with at the salon weren't born yet (or were toddlers) when I became a hairdresser

and I wore parachute pants when they were in style for about 15 minutes

I loved Journey, Boston, Kansas, Styx and Queen when they were on the radio and on American Top 40 and weren't considered "old school".

I actually saw videos on MTV and watched the first non-video show on MTV, Remote Control all the time.

Close...but not quite... :D

rockinrobin 02-23-2007 04:08 PM

Well I had a crush on Keith Partridge. Didn't care much for Donny Osmond. Used to read Tiger Beat magazine. I also watched videos on MTV. I remember MArtha Quinn and that blonde girl. Here's a biggie - I was 10 days old was JFK was assasinated.

EZMONEY 02-23-2007 04:19 PM

We have to be "close" to the same age ROCKINROBIN ~ I was in 4th grade when JFK was killed...I am closing in on 53 quick.
