I had said that I had picked up 4 books at Barnes and Noble, but couldn't remember what that 4th one was: Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin. It's an Oprah book club book and those usually are pretty good reads. That one that's a true story is called The Birthday Party by Stanley Alpert. I think it will be my next book as soon as I get through Hannibal Rising (should finish tonight). |
I'm reading Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts. I must admit I never thought I'd read anything by Nora Roberts. o.o

I just finished To Kill a Mockingird and I loved it. I loved how the story moved at a nice pace with plenty of time to fully develop the characters. A lot of books today are written in such a fast pace it's hard to develop a good mental imagery of the characters.
Now I'm reading The Bridge to Terebithia. I have to finish it before DD and I go see the movie. She loved the book and wanted me to read it,so being the obedient mom, I picked it up and am about half way through. Tiki |
