tapirgirl 03-24-2014 05:05 AM

I would go for smudged eye make up, I would lie and say I'm going for an extreme smokey eyed look. Or I would wear sunglasses.

WYR be invisible or be able to read minds?

jennybutler357 03-24-2014 12:37 PM

read minds, but I would want to be able to turn it on and off

LSM83 04-05-2014 02:18 PM

jennybutler357 04-10-2014 10:40 AM

seabiscuit 04-13-2014 08:06 PM

WYR star on a reality TV show or in a sitcom???

zogo 04-14-2014 07:08 AM

Reality show so I wouldn't have to memorize lines.

jennybutler357 04-16-2014 10:10 AM

Eat what I want, I love sleeping!!

WYR not be able to use your phone for a week or lose your voice for a week? (texting only with the phone I guess)

seabiscuit 05-25-2014 04:31 PM

I'd rather not use my phone.

WYR have a pocket pet such as a guinea pig, hamster, chinchilla, etc or have a large pet such as a horse?

jennybutler357 06-02-2014 12:28 PM

A large pet - a horse would be great!

WYR live for a year in a huge city or a tiny village in the middle of nowhere?

belovedspirit 06-02-2014 09:08 PM

I'd rather live in a huge city for the year. :)

WYR scuba dive or rock climb?

MarliQQ 06-05-2014 04:05 PM

Scuba Dive
That is actually something on my bucket list.

WYR live with the idea of having a kidnapped Husband/Wife or a kidnapped Mother/Father?

seabiscuit 06-09-2014 05:35 PM

I would rather a kidnapped husband. If things got really ugly, at least I could file for divorce!

Would you rather live in a lovely apartment but with a crazy landlord or in a tiny home but you're in a remote location, in the middle of nowhere!?

Tubegeek 06-09-2014 07:27 PM

Tiny home in the middle of nowhere :)
WYR have to run everywhere you went (no cars) or sing every time you wanted to talk?

MarliQQ 06-09-2014 09:59 PM

Sing every time I talk. I would Looooooooove it!

WYR have a permanent two inches of hair on your upper lip OR on your chin??

vix 06-18-2014 11:18 AM

Hmm, probably on my chin and i would just have to pretend to be thinking and put my hand there all the time!

WYR have to take your driving lesson every week or have to take a school exam every week?

MarliQQ 06-18-2014 03:30 PM

Driving lesson every week, a school exam every week would be too stressful. This is terrible, but I can kind of zone out while driving....

WYR have the left side or right side of your face be disfigured?

kurisitaru 06-18-2014 03:45 PM

Left side, I think I'd be more off kilter with the right.

WYR: Marry someone rich who is "indifferent to you" (not cruel, but just doesn't seem to care) and he will never be home, or Marry someone poor that's kind and fun but home ALL the time.

jennybutler357 06-19-2014 09:22 AM

Hmm, it's a toughie. I guess the nice guy who's kind and fun as I can always go out if I wanted to be alone, but just for a walk since we're so poor and all.

WYR have to wear a scarf every day or have to wear a hat every day?

seabiscuit 06-19-2014 04:02 PM

A hat! I love scarves but they're too hot in summer!

Wyr have short but frizzy hair or long hair but always getting split ends?

kurisitaru 06-19-2014 04:26 PM

Long with split ends, kind of make it "Frizzy" if you ask me, but I hate how I look with short hair, and I despise frizz.

WYR: Become a doctor, zero expenses for school, make a ton of money, have everyone respect you, save lives BUT have 1 patient of yours die every week? (Say you're a doctor of cancer).

OR

Become a lawyer, pay school fees, make average amounts of money, not a lot of respect as you're a "lawyer gah!" BUT you defend people that you KNOW (100%) that they are innocent of crimes, and you keep them from jail. You never lose a case, and when someone is guilty, you manage to get them pegged and put in jail (not what lawyers do... but it's my hypothetical).

MarliQQ 06-19-2014 04:39 PM

Lawyer, seems less stressful, and as long as I can pay my bill comfortably I am fine.

WYR live in a home with no washer/dryer or live in a home with no ac/heat?

Velvet bean 06-19-2014 06:33 PM

With no heat. I can make fire! :)

Would you rather be able to run 100mph (160km/h) or fly 10mph (16km/h)?

jennybutler357 06-20-2014 10:47 AM

Fly!!!

WYR have a really bad date every week for a year but have an 80% chance of meeting the man of your dreams after that year or a good date every week but have a 20% chance of meeting the man of your dreams after that year?

kurisitaru 06-20-2014 01:50 PM

Good dates for the year. I still have a chance for meeting the man of my dreams, and horrid dates are so... GAH! And scary sometimes. Much rather spend my year having fun and then if I don't find the guy of my dreams, I'd be fine.

WYR: Have a bed bug infestation (that will never go away) in the house of your dreams in the perfect neighborhood, comfortable, beautiful, and other than the bed bugs PERFECT (and you can easily afford it), or live in the house of your night mares but never deal with any infestations ever! This house is in a scary neighborhood, plumbing, electric, cold in winter, hot in summer, and never feels like home.

MarliQQ 06-20-2014 09:25 PM

Nightmare home, I cannot stand any form of pest in my abode.

WYR move in, during your senior years, with your son who you love and see every day, but has a wife who openly despises you and makes your stay miserable, OR live in a senior community where you never get to see your son, and the accommodations are reasonable.

kurisitaru 06-21-2014 12:28 PM

Move in with my son. I can handle horrid people, and the times I have left with my son would be worth the wretchedness of his wife.

WYR: Have your parents name you a Lord of the Rings Character (Such as Arwyn or Galadriel), or have your parents name you after a Wheel of Times Character (Such as Nyneave, Elayne, or Egwene).

MarliQQ 06-21-2014 02:30 PM

LOTR! Love LOTR!

WYR have the public watch your every waking moment on television for the rest of your life, or be isolated in a cabin atop a mountain never seeing or speaking with another human being for the rest of your life.

kurisitaru 06-22-2014 05:31 PM

Public can watch me, I'd rather be watched than be alone!

WYR: Meet and talk to Queen Elizabeth Tudor (Henry the VIIIs daughter), or Meet and talk Jane Austin (Writer of Pride and Prejudice).

MarliQQ 06-22-2014 05:50 PM

Elizabeth!! I love reading and watching anything about the Tudors.

WYR die in your sleep and never get a chance to say goodbye to your loved ones, or suffer in excruciating pain before you die, but get to say your last words to your loved ones.

jennybutler357 06-25-2014 12:41 PM

Die in my sleep, I would hopefully have left a letter or a video or something for each of them before then

WYR have hiccups for a year or the sensation that the sun is in your eyes and everything is really bright for a year?

kurisitaru 06-25-2014 02:56 PM

That is an EVIL WYR... I hate both... that's so hard.... I think the sun. Hiccups are painful, the sun thing I think would be less... destructive.

WYR: Get stuck with a ferral cat that sprays everything, claws up your furniture, scratches you, but always remembers to use the litterbox, OR get stuck with 5 nice and sweet dogs that bark all the time, eat all the time, often mark their territory, but are really sweet animals?

MarliQQ 06-25-2014 04:47 PM

That's hard...neither one is suited for my clean freakness....ugh...spraying....marking....I guess the dogs, I'm too pretty to be scratched all up .

WYR be absent from your child's life during ages 1-11, but be present for ages 0-1 and 12-21 (first year of life, graduations, puberty), or absent from your child's life during ages 12-21, but be present for ages 0-1 and 1-11 (first year of life, first day of kindergarten, school recitals)?

jennybutler357 06-27-2014 10:45 AM

That is a tough one, but I think you shape a child more between the ages of 0-11, so at least if I raised him or her well, I would know that they will grow up to be a good person. They will resent me during their teenage years, but this is better than them growing up without me and me having to try to get their love and trust back after being absent during the time when they develop and learn the most important basic life lessons. So, in summary I would be there from 0-11 and absent from then to 21.

A slightly lighter one now...
WYR have pen on your face all day that looks like a moustache or spinach in your teeth all day, but which only notices when you smile or talk?

kurisitaru 06-27-2014 01:17 PM

Pen on my face, it's more a sense of humor than "ew gross" And I could laugh that off.

WYR: Spend $500 on the best meal and dessert of your life? Or $50 on a meal that is sub par and "meh"

MarliQQ 06-27-2014 03:00 PM

$500 on the best meal of my life. I am all about the once in a lifetime moments.

WYR have a venemous snake loose in your house or a pedophile as a house guest for a day?

jennybutler357 06-30-2014 10:04 AM

Having three kids under 10 I wouldn't welcome either and it would make me sick having to treat the pedophile as a guest but at least he would be easier to keep an eye on than a loose snake.

WYR have a relationship with someone who doesn't speak your native language but whose native language is one that you are learning and can speak to a reasonable level, still with mistakes and far from perfect but you can more or less communicate what you want, or, a relationship with someone whose native language is one you can't speak but who is learning your native language and can speak it to a reasonable level (as above, not perfect but can communicate more or less). In summary - either you or the other person is always speaking a foreign language when you talk to each other.

MarliQQ 07-08-2014 02:53 PM

Honestly, I rather be the one learning a new language to communicate. I always wanted to be fluent in another language, and such a situation would force me to learn.

WYR spend a year in prison--don't drop the soap!--Your celly just got shanked!--Your Little Billy sounds so much older when you call him collect!--BUT have the entire matter be handled privately (court case and arrest). The neighbors just think you left your family to handle matters for an aging parent. How nice of you! OR spend a year on house arrest, but have the entire matter be a public affair (court case and arrest), press on your front lawn daily, national news coverage--Nancy Grace says you should be locked away forever! Your Little Billy's best friend, says his Mom said he can't come over anymore :(...

vix 07-09-2014 11:13 AM

Wow Marli! That is a conundrum!!! I think the former, yes it would be a terrible terrible year but the second option sounds like it would be a tough year plus the possibility of a long drawn-out thing that could affect my whole family as well as me for a long time.

WYR...wear clothes that look dirty (stains that won't come out) but are actually clean and freshly washed or wear clothes that look clean with no stains but are actually dirty and may be a little smelly...

MarliQQ 07-10-2014 04:21 PM

Booo! I don't like either of those choices. The choice is looking dirty vs actually being dirty! I just don't want to be dirty...I thought maybe it would be nice to just look clean in public and just feel skeevy...but then I thought--who wants to be the smelly person at work?? There is only so much funk a person can hide...So I choose looking dirty, I would just overpower the stain covered clothes with a double dose of Gain and Tide so that people have no choice but to remark how good I smell. And then keep explaining my clothes away as the result of messy toddlers, even though I don't have any....

WYR that you never listened to a single note of music in your entire life, or that you never watched a single moment of film and television.

vix 07-11-2014 11:11 AM

Oh my god that's so hard! I don't know as I love TV so much, but if I still had books at least I would have the way to be entertained by stories, but with no music then this would drastically change my existence - no clubs, no concerts, no radio whilst I'm working...so much silence and a loss of more great shared moments than I've had with TV. So I guess it's goodbye TV!!!

WYR have to tell the truth to everyone you talk to for one day or lie to everyone you talk to all day? And I'm talking every word you say would have to be the absolute truth or a complete lie.
