So, Bill why aren't you researching another song with 12 verses or so ? This place needs some song !

cathydoe 02-15-2011 10:28 AM

Do we need a song like an anthem? Our very own thread killer anthem?

cathydoe 02-15-2011 10:32 AM

BUT we will not let this person sing it! She will change our words!

http://www2.tbo.com/exposure/ar/659/...per-anthem.jpg

bargoo 02-15-2011 10:33 AM

Maybe she can't read .

BillBlueEyes 02-15-2011 10:35 AM

Her biggest problem was thinking the song was all about her!...sad :( very sad :(

Ruthxxx 02-16-2011 11:34 AM

Never mind! In Canada, she'd be able to screw it up in BOTH official languages plus Inuktitut.

Ruthxxx 02-18-2011 03:56 PM

OK - no posts for nearly 29 hours. This thread is dead!

bargoo 02-18-2011 04:46 PM

Not dead, just in a coma.

silverbirch 02-18-2011 05:16 PM

Fascinating.

Ruthxxx 02-19-2011 07:43 AM

Morituri te salutamus.

bargoo 02-19-2011 07:46 AM

It is too darn early to be saluting anybody !

Ruthxxx 02-19-2011 08:01 AM

Why are you up at 4:46?

EZMONEY 02-19-2011 08:30 AM

Good to be back home if even for the week-end only (maybe)....

big celebration here today....

#4 Remembering Gramma/i Judi Chili Celebration...

.games....family....friends....

would have been here sooner but had to get one chili going already....

WebRover 02-19-2011 05:15 PM

mmm-chili sounds good.

Need to see if there are enough bits of leftovers to get away with calling it dinner, or if I really need to prepare something.

BillBlueEyes 02-19-2011 05:59 PM

Thirty-Six Percent . . .

. . . Sixty-Four Percent to go

Can't remember the topic of conversion. Perhaps posters have forgotten what it was.

I have a new pair of eye-glasses. i don't really need them to see the words on the page.

I just wear them because I want to tell them apart.

bargoo 02-19-2011 06:04 PM

How do you hold your glasses on with only one ear ?

EZMONEY 02-19-2011 06:12 PM

45 minutes until my house gets loaded up with about 25 family and friends...

wondering why I do this stuff at the moment....

Sounds like a mighty personal question to me.

You use duct tape, right?

Operator265 02-19-2011 08:37 PM

With a little duct tape and some 9 wire, I can change the rotation of the Earth.

EZMONEY 02-20-2011 08:55 AM

Can you fix more stuff with duct tape or WD-40?

Ruthxxx 02-20-2011 09:04 AM

Crazy Glue works fine for me. If we find Bill's ear, let's try it. Right now he's probably using a lorgnette rather than real glasses.

Of course ! A lorgnette would suit his dignity.

I tilt my head - works fine.

Does give a new slant to the world; sometimes an improvement. Unfortunately, I have a friend who's a neurologist and he's insisting that I come in to his office for a visit; he's sure my new posture has a neurological basis.

My friend who's a shrink didn't even bother with a comment about me walking about with my head tilted - now that's depressing.

ETA: Had to look up "lorgnette" - what a great word to learn. I just knew Threadkiller was an intellectual thread.

WebRover 02-20-2011 05:02 PM

I don't know. Might want to remove the handle and one lens and go for a monocle.

WebRover 02-20-2011 07:49 PM

It's spring. It's spring. There are leaves coming out on trees. It's reached 80 degrees for four days in a row.

:flow1:

EZMONEY 02-20-2011 07:49 PM

Well can't say I hated Daytona 500 today and great for the kid...but Denny was looking good until they crashed him....

oh wait...what was the topic again?....ears?.....

BillBlueEyes 02-21-2011 11:03 AM

It's Monday. It's snowing. Taxes are due soon, but if I dawdle for a bit, it'll be time for lunch break.

bargoo 02-21-2011 12:15 PM

Lunch sounds good to me but it is a little early here in California for lunch.

Ruthxxx 02-21-2011 12:32 PM

Hush up, Web Rover! By the way, do you have a spare room down there? It's barely above 0ºF up here and I drove for two hours last night in a blizzard.

A monocle for Bill? Which eye? The same side as the missing ear to balance things a bit? Where are Stacy with the nose and whatshis name when we need them?

ETA: I am so frassing anal - she is Stacy London and he is Clinton Kelly. I had to look them up!

Oh, for Pete's Sake. If it moves but you don't want it to, duct tape. If it doesn't move but you want it to, WD-40.

Why do I have to explain the basics to a guy who claims to be in construction??:dz:

Dear Operator,

My scale isn't moving - I've been getting the same number for weeks. Would WD-40 help?

Wants2Lose

Operator265 02-21-2011 06:17 PM

Meh, just cut the other ear off. That should move it a little.

bargoo 02-21-2011 06:32 PM

Well it would be a loss of weight. I don't know how much an ear weighs , though.

BillBlueEyes 02-21-2011 08:03 PM

200 . .

. . . 3/5ths to go

Dear Operator,

When I put my head on the scale to weight the remaining ear,
I can't read the numbers.

Sincerely,

Wants2DoTheRightThing
