That GRANDdaughter has been knocking at the door since 1am California time today......

Doesn't she know I left for work at 3am....drove over 110 miles there...worked 8 hrs...drove 110 miles home in rush...NOT!...hour traffic AND...I am still waiting?....

Apologies if this is off-topic, but I just read something so distressing that I'm hopeful one of our California 3FC'er can refute it.

In Lancaster California, they're piping in Bird sounds downtown.

I presume it's because guano is beneath the dignity of the locals, or because birds might be dirty, or because birds don't sing at night when it would be more convenient to listen.

Hopefully it's just one more time the press is unfairly bashing California.
