  • Only 103 today!!! HA!!!
  • I'm in MO too -- it was 97 here today, with a heat index of 110 -- it's midnight now and has cooled down to 85 -- thank God for air conditioning....
  • Conspriacy
I demand my 31 shopping days back!!! What's mine is mine.

Is this a government conspiracy or sumptin' ?
  • Hey! Did anybody watch the amazing star show last night?

Or were you all too busy doing nonsense posts to get this sucker up to 500 so I have to spend my weekend monitoring it?
  • No, no TV watchin' here, Ruth.
I was too busy keepin' an eye on my brother and doing the boy's laundry last night.

Heck, I don't shop for Xmas until the week before, Karen! And even then, those people are lucky to get somethin' from me!
I think (for my family at least) Xmas presents are for preteens and younger, we're more focused on what we are havin' to eat each year than any of the shiney things that may or may not be under the Xmas tree.

    Happy Friday, y'all!

  • Um, hello?

    Is this thing on?

    I'ma gonna let you finish!

    Buahahahahahahahaha!!!
  • huh?
  • See, I let her finish. Now, in other news! Four minutes until work lets out! Woohoo!!!
  • We are having TERRIBLE storms...my dh works for the city and when the weather is bad we turn on the scanner. Well there is a major road under construction and the stop signs were held down by sand bags...well that didn't hold and one of the police officers was out in the rain and wind working on them and dh called him and told him he should just sit on them and that would hold them down...the police officer was calling on his radio to call the street crews in to get more sand bags...I wish we had a big loud speaker of the Wizard of Oz song where the witch is riding her bike during the tornado...it would have been so funny to go where the officer was and play that...
  • Prayers CATHY!

Here in cool southern California, Angie and I just got home from eating outside with the mutts at the "walk to" Italian joint 1 mile away...took knucklehead nephew with us since the NAVY doesn't pay him enough to eat 7 nights a week....lol....they do but you would never know it from his budgeting!
  • "knucklehead nephew" -- that has kind of a nice ring to it....

    like naughty niece....

    upstairs uncle....

    antagonistic aunt....

    motivated mother....
  • How 'bout, sleep-deprived zanheltangia... Darn, no ring.

  • Speaking of no ring to it, what rhymes with zanheltangia?
  • Darned if I know! I can't even pronounce it but I've always had problems with words of more than three syllables.
  • Zan I think we need a name explanation. I am thinking there is a story with zan-abcdefghijlmnop (sorry I couldn't remember how to spell it)
