Gary, are you telling me you were a freshman at 15 ?? I was a sophomore at 15 , so there.!!
Sorta reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy,
If you refer to the fifth grade as your senior year, you might be a redneck.

WaterRat 12-28-2009 07:30 PM

I turned 15 in January of my sophomore year....

But, the Freshman 15 I know about refers to the 15-lb gain many people have in college - going from an active high schooler eating mom's cooking to being a college student, eating at a dining hall, drinking beer, etc. :)

bargoo 12-28-2009 07:37 PM

Especially drinking beer !

cathydoe 12-28-2009 07:40 PM

Gary will understand the drinking beer part!

So, if we are apart of this thread we will GAIN 15 lbs? Oh NO, so it ain't so!!

BillBlueEyes 12-29-2009 05:17 AM

Mary had a little lamb . . .

EZMONEY 12-29-2009 08:59 AM

Either Bill is starting another poem or giving us someone's dinner menu....

I got $5 down says it's the latter....

mrsaugie 12-29-2009 09:09 AM

Good morning fellow killers.

Ruthxxx 12-29-2009 09:37 AM

Yum! Lamb! With garlic, rosemary and port wine sauce.
It's too darn cold out there to drive for half an hour to get some.

ButterFly49 12-29-2009 11:31 AM

Shucks, Lamb isn't on my list of acceptable foods. I need to change programs. Neither is the wine sauce.

BillBlueEyes 12-29-2009 11:42 AM

15 . . .

Mary had a little lamb,
a little pork, a little jam,
an ice cream soda topped with fizz.
My g*d, how sick our Mary is!

. . . 485 to go.

.

cathydoe 12-29-2009 01:49 PM

Bill you are my hero!

Ruthxxx 12-29-2009 05:51 PM

I found some lamb sausage deep in the freezer but it's not the same.

Great moon tonight and it'll be full on the 31st. It's a Blue Moon month!

bargoo 12-29-2009 06:38 PM

Bill, you are determined to give us some culture.

EZMONEY 12-29-2009 06:41 PM

And I am determined to take it away....

My up-bringing precedes me....

Ruthxxx 12-30-2009 09:03 AM

Freezing my butt off up here. The furnace ran out of oil and the techie just poured in some and ordered more. It sure takes a while to warm up from 10ºC. (That's 50ºF for the metrically challenged.)

EZMONEY 12-30-2009 09:07 AM

warm blankets on the way RUTH....

cathydoe 12-30-2009 09:32 AM

Burrrrrrrrrr! How long til it heats up?

Bill? Please finish the poem!

EZMONEY 12-30-2009 09:39 AM

taking back the blankets RUTH....checked the temp outside here....48 degrees!

Where is global warming when you need it?

BillBlueEyes 12-30-2009 01:43 PM

Mary had a little lamb
the doctor was suprised;
but when McDonald had a farm,
you shoulda seen his eyes!

cathydoe 12-30-2009 02:17 PM

Thank you Bill! My day can begin! <big grin>

Slashnl 12-30-2009 03:18 PM

Awww. See what I missed being off line for so long!?? Awesome, Bill!

EZMONEY 12-30-2009 03:21 PM

Was it my imagination or did OPERATOR sneak in here on the last thread?

Ruthxxx 12-31-2009 08:12 AM

Blue moon tonight although it'll be too snowy to see it.
There's a song cue in there.

Forever In BLUE Jeans :)

Ruthxxx 12-31-2009 09:06 AM

I'm antique, Gary, so try Ella Fitzgerald. It's an oldie written by Rogers and Hart.

EZMONEY 12-31-2009 09:25 AM

Did you see me standing there...without a dream in my heart?

I am pushing antique....I know the song RUTH

don't have it in my collection but I do have Billie Holiday's version

zanheltangia 12-31-2009 09:26 AM

Wah! Florida is not allowed to be chilly! *shivers at her desk chair*

Slashnl 12-31-2009 09:44 AM

Florida is chilly?

Colorado is frigid.............

I suppose California is balmy. Shut up Gary.

BillBlueEyes 12-31-2009 09:45 AM

Blue Moon

Good grief, all you youngsters, try the wonder boy from Memphis,

Quote:

Blue moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own.

Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for someone I really could care for.
Is it a blue moon if you can't see it?

.

I'll have you know that I am still a member of the It's Cold Here Club...

the guage outside says it is 50.....

bargoo 12-31-2009 12:30 PM

It gets cold in Northern California , too. Gary, aren't you amused when people from other states and countries learn that we Californians wear winter coats and actually have furnaces in our homes, not to mention a heater in the car ? And I have heard a rumor that some people, living in California use electric blankets !!!!

cathydoe 12-31-2009 01:39 PM

Along time ago....I heard that winter coats are made different for different parts of the country...I wonder if that is true, or is that a piece of info I have been carrying around for years and years and years.

dutchgirl 12-31-2009 01:58 PM

Gary, I told you you could not be part of the It's cold here club.
Here in Amsterdam it is -1 C, that's 30 F, and with a wind force 6 Beaufort that gives a windchill that makes it feel about 16 F. That is a different kettle of fish from 50 F...
