And, just to get my 2¢ in, chili must go over spaghetti and be topped with shredded cheddar cheese, bashing of Gary and Bill is a wonderful privilege they afford us so we don't take all our hostilities out on our own DH's and others, that stupid little rodent needs to just get sunglasses, and I just love everyone here, because you sure know how to help us forget our troubles!

About coming to this thread, not only does it help me to forget my troubles, more important it keeps me out of the refrigerator.

At the moment, nothing and that's the problem,

But yeah, I play World of Warcraft online on and off to zone out after work (takes no real effort to level, just interacting with pixels and move on to the next quest, nearly brainless most of the time).

All my other games are down at my parents' house until I get a more stable job.

But my 'dragon' killing will have to be a real game of Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 homebrew (where one of the group makes up the world, events, and people in it instead of using preprinted game material).

But of course, that involves driving there and back to meet up with my group on Saturday (3 hr round trip just driving and the game starts at noon and ends about midnight or later, usually early sunday morning)... Really eats up my weekend but energizes me for the week ahead.

And it isn't LARPing, we don't dress up. We don't sit there and role play/act out our characters with funny voices or anything theatrical. We have players of various backgrounds (had a preacher who played before I came, a mother & son pair who had been gaming together for years, military guys, musicians, and a few sets of husbands and wives, etc). I still don't understand why some people still are surprised or uncomfortable when I mention it, it's as if we sat down and played monopoly all night or got together to play video games all day. e.e;; No worshipping or cult activity involved, I swear. *laughs* Heck, even Vin Diesel played.
