Yep, it is now storming here. My tomato plants were already sagging, I'm not sure they are going to survive this. I may be making green tomato chutney this week.

Oh, yummy. I've been going thru one of my Indian cookbooks and saw a couple of recipes for chutney. Can't wait.

Well, I'm gonna go get an off-set wrench so I can fix my garbage disposal(I hope). Send good thoughts toward my sink.

Way to go!
One of the good things of being on your own (or as in my case with the BF living 800 km. down the road) is that you become very handy at fixing all sorts of stuff.
Come to think of it, I started fixing stuff when I was still with my ex, because he was so utterly useless

Congrats Operator for fixing that garbage disposal - were you ever in a fix with it broken.

Now tell us more about what chutney you're fixing to fix.

Anymore, changing a light bulb on your car is serious handy work. What a PITA!! I had to change the bulb above my rear license plate. God Lord, give me heavy equipment maintenance any day.

Well, the tomatoes survived the storm (just) so no green tomato chutney just yet. I want to get as many ripe ones as I can for the freezer and the weather should warm up a bit in a couple of days.
It is still really windy but at least the sun is out.

Well, since I only have my dog to contend with , he does let his wishes be known. Last night as I was watching TV and not quite ready to go to bed ,my dog went and sat on the bed and just stared at me. I wasn't sure what he wanted but asked him ( I speak doglish ) if it was time to go to bed .....and of course I did and he was happy.
