Default drinking on SB

Hello..I am just wondering..I am on day 7 of Phase 1, and I have a bachelorette party to go to tomorrow night...and basically it is unrealistic for me to even consider not drinking...not that I am a lush..but let's just say I enjoy to getting my drink on now and then....OK so my question is what do you think is the BEST thing for me to drink? I plan on statying on Phase 1 until after Easter, and I haven't cheated ONCE....has anyone else run into this issue?

Default Drinking Opinion

I was on my third week of SB and I went drinking with some co-workers. I enjoyed myself and the next day got back on the SB wagon. I don't think you should miss out because of a diet. Just don't make it a habit! Hope this helps.

Exclamation Info on alcohol metabolism

This was taken from Don Lemmon's website. He sounds pretty cool, if anyone wants to check it out:
www.donlemmon.com

A client once asked me, "Can I still drink my favorite vodka since it's low calorie?"
ANSWER: I know the Atkins Center and the Zone Factor allow for booze, but be realistic. While everything you eat is naturally turned into an alcohol and a sugar of some sort by the body before it is used internally, you are talking about straight alcohol and that's worse than bleached white table sugar. When you ingest pure sugar or straight alcohol, you skip steps in the normal digestive process naturally involved in the breakdown of whole real foods and this disrupts the body's normal biochemical transitions. That's what makes you fat and part of what causes you to store cellulite. Other things cause cellulite, sure, we have mentioned that, but this is one sure cause. Alcohol (beer), aspartame and other fake sugars, by the way, those chemicals are turned into alcohols once inside of you too, each of these things ****** your metabolism.
