Default Edamame

Does anyone know how to approximate the number of calories in edamame when eaten out of the pod? The nutrition label says 120 cal for .5 cup, but that's only for the edible portion. I prefer to eat them out of the pod. Short of counting the acutal beans, any suggestions? Thanks!

I just purchased a 1 lb bag of frozen edamame in the pod at Whole Foods. The nutritional data on the back says that there are 3 servings of "edible portion" in the bag. And according to that each serving is 120 calories, 4 grams of fat, and 3 grams of fiber.

So, I'd assume that there is a total of 360 calories for the whole bag of edamame pods. I'm not sure how many cups that is because I weigh everything. For me a serving of the pods would be around 5 oz for 120 calories.

I hope that helped, and by the way, I love eating edamame out of the pods too! I think they're addictive!
