Default Sweet potatoes

OK here goes....are sweet potatoes and yams the same thing!?

Well whichever one I bought, I cut them up french fry style and put them in a ziplock baggie, a drizzle of canola oil, one packet of taco seasoning, cayenne pepper and shook it all up to coat it, baked them 400 for 1 hr...and YUMMMY!!! I don't even LIKE sweet potatoes!!! But the sweet/spicy combo did it for me!!

I love sweet poatoes! Sounds like a great recipe. The answer is yes, yams are different from sweet potatoes but, a real yam is very hard to find, there only a couple of states that grow them. Unless you have a trained palate it's hard to tell the difference.

I also got some few days ago, the ones that are orange on the inside and come in plastic wraps and are ready to be put in the microwave.
(baked taste with just 5 minutes of microwave)

They tasted so good. loved it. I will try this seasoned recipe you wrote.

I am pretty sure it is because it is higher in fiber. There is a site called sweetpotato.org that has some great recipes ideas on it.
