Default Edamame anyone?

Ive recently become absolutely addicted to edamame. I thought it was a great snack to replace the junk Id been eating. I just started using fitday, and it says that a cup of edamame is almost 18g of fat! Can this be true? I love the stuff cuz it fills that nibbly, salty craving. But with 18g of fat I might as well be eating Doritos...

Default Seapoint Farms Shelled Edamame

I love edamame too! The nutritional info I have states a 1/2 cup serving has 100calories, 3 grams of fat, 4 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein. What brand are you eating? How the edamame is prepared makes all the difference.

Default

Im not sure which brand it is. Its a huge bag that I bought at Sams. I boil it, and thats it. I dont add any salt or anything. I got the 18grams number from fitday. But now that I look at it, I guess that would be a cup of beans alone, without the pods, which is alot. Although it still seems to be alot of fat.
Im gonna have to check the bag and see what they say on there.

I sure dont want to give up my edamame!
