Default Meal Replacement Smoothies/Shakes

Hi there,
I’m wondering if anyone has had any success with smoothies/shakes as a meal replacement? Were you able to lose weight?? Did you use your own recipe or a shake mix?

I’m interested in trying smoothies as a meal replacement, but would prefer to find a healthy homemade recipe rather than a mix like Sh*keologie(SO EXPENSIVE!). I even wouldn’t mind trying a green smoothie – just would prefer to go off a recipe than trying to wing it myself and end up with a liquid salad.

Thanks for your help!
Liz

Making your own smoothies are great..half spinach and spring greens..and a couple fruits..I found that worked..although recently I have lost 24 lbs in just over two months..with GC Control smoothies from an online wellness club..not expensive and very tasty Chocolate fusion is my favorite!

I make my own smoothies every morning with 10 oz unsweetened Cashew milk, handful of spinach, 1 cup strawberries (or half cup blueberries), 2 tablespoons of ground flax. 1 packet organic stevia and either plain, no fat Greek yogurt or Jay Robb egg white protein powder. Obviously the Greek yogurt is less expensive. However, both keep me well into lunch time. Greek yogurt has approximately 15 grams of protein and the Jay Robb is approximately 24 grams. I drink it during my commute to work.

I'm sure that with practice you'll find a recipe you like. I go with Berries as they are lower sugar and fit better with my lower carb eating. I sometimes treat myself with either mango or pineapple.
