Question Advice on Almond Milk

I have never tried almond milk. I would mostly use it in coffee. Now I use half and half. Love that stuff! I am looking for an unsweetened almond milk. I've noticed the Almond Breeze brand and Pacific Natural Foods Brand. Has anyone tried both of these brands and can compare? TIA

Also, how is the flavor on the unsweetened vanilla flavored almond milk?

I really love the Silk brand unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I've tried other brands but I always end up going back to this one. I can't actually explain why though, it just always seems to taste a little better.

Although, I don't like almond milk (or coconut milk, hemp milk, flax milk, etc...) in my coffee, simply because I find it is not creamy enough for that use. If I put in enough to cut the acidity like I want it then it is far too "watered down" while with half and half or a powdered creamer I only need a spoonful. That's just me though! It might work great for you.

I personally love unsweetened vanilla almond breeze in everything. I tend to try other brands and always go back to almond breeze. I use it a lot in my baking, and as a low-cal substitute for anything that requires milk. The unsweetened chocolate one is super good in coffee too!

I have used Almond Breeze and Silk they are both good. I use unsweetened and non flavored although I sometimes get the unsweetened Vanilla. they are all good.

I find it tasteless. I use it making smoothies, but being a huge 1/2&1/2 fan (hubby says I drink coffee flavored cream ), almond milk would never make the cut... it is just too "water down" tasting...

ETA; I do like it on my cereal.

I am a milk lover, so I am biased. I am also someone who will eat almost anything. That being said, my friend wanted me to try the almond milk. I hated it. I especially hated it in my coffee. It seemed bitter in the coffee. It looks creamy as you pour it, but it's not. I can't imagine why anyone would want to use it instead of real milk. Now shall I tell you how I really feel? LOL! You will probably have to give it a try yourself. You might really enjoy it.

Thank you so much for the replies. I have been thinking that I might be having some lactose issues. Not sure about that. The almond milk doesn't sound too promising for the coffee. I bought some Lactaid and will try that in the mean time. I think I saw a single size serving of the almond milk in one of the grocery stores. I might try it like that.
