Default super foods/supplements

I've been wanting to add chia seeds to my diet since they are high in omega 3s... so as I was searching for that, I started to see things about maca seeds, hemp seeds, goji berries, acai, spirulina, wheat grass, etc...

Does anyone eat these? The reviews said maca is good for thyroid and energy... but then I read conflicting things saying it's not necessary to take these type of supplements if you eat a diet with alot of fruits of vegetables.

I know there are powders that have all of this stuff in it but I haven't found any reasonably priced, so I was thinking of just trying a couple of these superfoods on their own.

These are awesome powders, I've read a little bit about maca, all I remmeber is that it helps lower blood pressure and it increases sexual desire which is awesome for women on birth control (like I was at the time) but I didn't buy it.

I LOVE chia seeds, they are great, you can make chia pudding with it and it tastes yummy, I'm a fan of the texture and they are really good for you. Some people also use chia + water gel as a substitute for eggs in baking to make the recipe vegan.
