First off: the main "ingredient" in this is sold by Arbonne, which is primarily known as a skincare/makeup line sold on the internet and through individual sellers (like Avon).
Interestingly, Arbonne sells a line of weight loss products, and one of them is a protein powder that comes in Chai, Vanilla, and Chocolate. The traditional thing is to dissolve in water, but I've found that you can make a great breakfast smoothie/shake with it. The "powder" alone has 110 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 8 grams of carbs, and 18 grams of protein, with a ton of vitamins/minerals listed.
This is what I do for breakfast:
1 scoop of the protein powder - chai flavor
1/2 snack-sized cup of vanilla or french vanilla fat-free yogurt
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 banana
2 Tbsp fat free half n half
As much ice as I want
The nutritional breakdown (calories, fat, carbs, prot.) is roughly:
Protein powder: 110, 1.5, 8, 18
Fat free yogurt: 50, 0, 10, 2.5
Skim milk: 45, 0, 6.5, 4.5
Banana: 50, 0, 14, 0
Fat free Half n half: 20, 0, 3, 1
Which totals to about
:
275 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, 41.5 grams of carbs, and 26 grams of protein.
Basically... it's super yummy and keeps me full for quite some time. It's obviously a meal replacement. If you're interested, I'd recommend checking out Arbonne's weight loss/health products online.
