I saw the WATP Daily Checkin. I go to that thread alot, but I thought I would start up a Pilates thread!

I've started doing Pilates last week, and I love it!!

I started with You Can Do.. Pilates by Leslie Sansone..

I bought WeightLoss Pilates. There are 3 different levels on the DVD and you can either follow level 1, 2 or 3. I'm anywhere from Level 1-2.

So, if you do pilates, check in here!

10/1 - Weight Loss Pilates - 30 minutes
10/2 - Cardio
10/3 - Off Day
10/4 - Weight Loss Pilates - 30 minutes
10/5 - Cardio
10/6 - Weight Loss Pilates - 30 minutes

pgray: Do you like Leslie's pilate dvd? I've been thinking about getting it to add to my w/t program. I loved her WATP bc of her enthusiasm. I haven't done her dvds since late Spring due to picking up a running program. I know there are other Pilate "stars" out there, but I keep coming back to Leslie's, like an old friend.

I do Pilates at least 1x/wk. I have the original Winsor Pilates and the Winsor Pilates Circle workout. I love them both. At some point I do want to do some small group sessions at my gym.

I actually made it through my first winsor pilates workout. I have done them before, but I never get to use the TV, because it is usually on cartoons. So I have just been doing what I remember. But, today I did my 20 minute workout. I have been alternating strength training and pilates (well my version anyway) but I am going to start doing them everyday! I am glad I found this thread!

Yes, I do like Leslie Sanson's WATP... it's very beginner. I like WeightLoss Pilates because it adds in more exercises that are really easy to do!

Way to go! I hope you keep coming back. It's nice to have the support of others doing the same type of exercises

I am still doing the beginners workout, but I am still doing it. After the 20 minute workout though I am still ready for more. So I'm thinking I am going to try the advanced workout sooner rather than later. It did get my heart rate up and I wasn't doing much.
Today's workout 20 min pilates, 20 minute strength training, 20 minute stationary bike.

I am doing winsor pilates. I like the workout but I hate that she talks so much during it. I know it is a beginners video and so she has to talk you through it, but doing it everyday and listening to her can drive a person insane!! But I do like the workout! I plan on doing it everyday, right now I am doing it every other day, but todays workout routine worked really well for me so I think I am going to try it everyday this week. It means less time on my exercise bike, but it makes more room for pilates and strength training.

I started doing Pilates this morning, I have Pilates for dummies, don't laugh. I've had it for a long time and have never done it. I also ordered windsor pilates with the circle thing. I figure I'll try it. I also walk 3x a week and I do pilates 2x a week. I've done the firm in the past, but I just wanted a change. I live in Florida and it's just too nice inside, so I like going for a walk after my dd is off to school.

Talking It sneaks up on you

Pilates kind of sneaks up on you. You may not see the difference but others will and when you finally see the changes, they are really good.

Always be thinking long and lean, long and lean......

I just picked up a new Pilates book with 210 or so excersizes, pictures, instruction and history.
It's good to read the technique as well as work it.
