Red face Fitness Video Question

Hi

Is it okay to change the videos you are using, like I started out on Denise Austin and want to change to Billy Blank, and do some on the stab ball. If they work diff areas though would that just make muscle gained in one turn to fat if the other doesnt target it, or even if it did turn to fat would the other video burn it off?

Also I gained 2 ibs since starting, is that common?

Please help

I dont know what to do.

Chrissy,

It is perfectly fine to change workout videos. In fact, many articles that i have read recommend changing up your routine so that your body does not become complacent and plateau. I believe that provided you are exercising overall you are going to burn fat overall (for example, if you are doing tae bo instead of stability ball it does not mean that when the fat burns from your arms/legs it will jump to your stomach). That said, different videos may *tone* different parts of your body - but the fat is being burned from everywhere.

Regarding your 2 pound gain - first, do you calorie count? it may be that you are eating more (even subconciously) because you have been exercising. or maybe you have eaten high sodium foods the last few days. second, is your menstrual cycle starting? that also could account for a small weight gain.

Don't give up!

If you started doing Tae Bo - there are many that do gain weight at the beginning - but it's muscle weight not fat weight. Muscle weighs more then fat - just keep going and it will drop down before you know it. Also, you will probably see more of a difference in your clothes then you will on the scale. There are a lot of women doing Taebo that weigh more then they did when they wore say a size 7 but are now wearing a size 0. It's hard to believe but true. I know I didn't lose much weigth - 10 pounds and I had been doing Taebo for 3 years and in one month lost the 10 pounds - but I lost ALOT of inches (13" but that was just on one side - I should have times it by two for the arms and legs part). I would weigh myself but for sure, go by how your clothes feel.

And it is best, in my opinion, to do different workouts. I never did. I did Denise Austin's tv shows, then I did Taebo, then last year it was Cathe Friedrich. Now I mix it all up and I don't get so burnt out with my workouts either.

Best of luck! Rachelle

Hi

Thanks for the replies, I havent eaten anything different, and I cut down on the portions, but I cant really calorie count. I have to eat with my family and they don't serve healty food I'm hoping with working out it will balance that out.

I hope its just muscle weight

Thanks again
