I bought the Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles yesterday and can't wait to try it. Probably won't be until tomorrow, I have lots to do and it is really hot here and I refuse to turn on A/C on April 1st!!:D

taalita 04-01-2012 04:33 PM

Oh! I love this already! I've started an 8-mile per week regimen for starters with weekends of rest, and I can't wait to get back on tomorrow!

Amen to that one. Sun. is my day off but I have been doing about 14 miles a week. Would like to do more but pretty busy right now.

umimar 04-01-2012 10:05 PM

Took a break today, body needs some rest :)

Kitcherella 04-02-2012 02:16 AM

Hello, all!

I started yesterday with Leslie's 5k with a twist. It was really good. I am doing it again today.
Take care!

AnnieDrews 04-02-2012 11:18 AM

Hello everyone! Nice to see new faces here, too!!:)

My sons' grandpa died yesterday evening (their Dad's father), so I was up until about midnight last night. Slept in a bit this morning and didn't exercise at all. I hope to get back to it in the morning. Still want to try that new 4 mile.

umimar 04-02-2012 10:17 PM

Annie, sorry to hear that :(
I did Monday on Leslie's new video, plus another mile in the morning.

AnnieDrews 04-03-2012 11:53 AM

Hello! I finally got to do the Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles this morning!:carrot: I liked it, but I get bummed not doing the boosted walking/jogging. I was told "no high-impact" by the ortho doc last spring and have followed that advice. I know I still get a good workout, but just frustrating to be getting older.

sotypical 04-03-2012 04:52 PM

It has been such a crazy insane past week I didn't even realize it was April! I was still posting in the other thread - was wondering why it was quiet over there. Anyway 4 miles this morning. Thanks Annie for pointing me in the right direction. Also, I hardly ever do the running - I find it doesn't make a huge different in step count/calorie burn - it just makes me tired - especially when I am doing it at 5am.

After ten months, it doesn't irritate me when she says to tuck in your tummy. ha

umimar 04-03-2012 09:32 PM

4 miles here today

It's amazing how many times I find myself tucking my tummy and pulling my shoulders back throughout the day. I've never paid attention to my posture until now. Glad for it, as the women in my family tend to have a hunched back in their older years.

2 Mile Power Walk With Friends this morning. 2# weights AND 2# weighted belt!:carrot:

umimar 04-04-2012 08:54 PM

I have a cold. Resting day for me

mariposssa 04-04-2012 09:20 PM

I have the 4 mile and the 5 mile DVDs. I use them on bad weather days sometimes. Other times, I put on a TV show and basically do the same moves to whatever show I want to watch for the evening. One thing I noticed is that I don't keep as fast of a pace. When I put the DVD on I am breathing harder.

AnnieDrews 04-05-2012 04:24 PM

Yes, Mariposa, the pace is definitely important!

Got in 2 miles from 5 Mile Fat Burning this morning. Had to be at work early and could not drag out of bed any earlier!:p

carolr3639 04-05-2012 05:26 PM

Got the new DVD but a lot of company coming so might not get to it for a few days. Always love new DVDs.

carolr3639 04-06-2012 02:32 PM

Not crazy about the new DVD. I'm stuck on the Walk Strong with weights. I really like that one.

umimar 04-06-2012 08:35 PM

3 miles today

AnnieDrews 04-06-2012 08:45 PM

3 Mile Boot Camp w/ bands today. I have some unexpected time to myself this weekend, so I am going to try to get in one or two workouts. I usually don't exercise on Sat/Sun, so maybe I can bump up the weight loss.

AnnieDrews 04-07-2012 12:12 PM

Did the 3 Mile Burn Body Fat with hand weights! I feel great!:carrot:

Saw a tiny loss this week.

cathyxxx 04-07-2012 01:44 PM

hey gang  i've been out of town for a week but have been getting in some exercise

this morning i did 3 miles. I used the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan, and did the warmup and cool down, along with the yellow, red & green miles which is the monday walk. I also did most of the ab session but got interrupted. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS DVD!!!! :)

anybody else got it while I was gone?

hope everybody has a great :running: day! and a very Happy & Blessed Easter.

This is my favorite.

2 Miles from the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. Love thos 12 min. miles!!

I wanted to do more, but have lots I still need to do before we go to the movies this afternoon. I still did 5 more miles over the weekend than I usually do, though.

Happy Easter everyone!!:easter3:

yhahmd 04-08-2012 03:42 PM

Been MIA for a while (a week? two weeks?) but now I'm back. With a gain. But it's almost gone, so it's NBD. Today I weighed in at 171.0 which is better than the 171.6 I had two days ago. Hoping to get back into the 160s within the next week.

ETA: I did one of Leslie's tapes after I got back into it, after like 2 weeks, and holy cow my legs are killing me!!

AnnieDrews 04-09-2012 11:02 AM

Hi Yhahmd!

I did the 2 Mile Power Walk With Friends w/ 2# weights this morning.

sotypical 04-09-2012 03:09 PM

Did 4 miles this morning and 5 yesterday.

Forgot my FitBit at home, grrrr - wont be hitting my 10,000 steps today officially. :(

cathyxxx 04-10-2012 09:23 AM

hey gang

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan and did the warmup and cool down and the blue and purple miles. love it!!!

Carol - at the end of last month's thread you said "Cathy, I noticed on collage video that one of the moves is a slow setup with feet not held down. I haven't been able to do that in years. How do you manage?"

I think what you might be talking about is some half jumping jacks that Leslie does in the blue mile. first she does like a jumping rope move and then moves to these half jumping jacks, and then she does those 2 things again. I didn't have any trouble with those today but like I said, if I did have trouble with a move I would just modify it.

I do have a problem with the twisted side lunges that she does in some work outs. for some reason it really hurts my knees, almost like it wants to pull things on the sides of my knees, so I modify those anytime they come around. i figure it's all good :)

After being out last week I am swamped at work so I better get to it :faint: hope everybody has a great :running: day!

later gaters

sotypical 04-10-2012 11:50 AM

5 miles this morning.

AnnieDrews 04-10-2012 02:07 PM

Go, go, go ladies!!:carrot:

I slept like a log and barely woke up in time to do anything this morning. Did the first 2 miles of the 5 mile Fat Burning Walk. Better than nothing. Oh, I mowed the entire yard in 45 min. or so last night. Talk about working up a sweat!!:D

cathyxxx 04-11-2012 10:28 AM

hey gang

annie - 2 miles is DEFINITELY better than nothing!!! that's 30 minutes and about 4000 steps.... definitely better than nothing girl :cheer:

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan and did the yellow and green miles, along with the warmup and cool down.

Hello all!! I did most of the 3 Mile Weight Loss Walk w/ 2# weights this morning. Had to stop it about halfway through the last mile to showered and ready for work.

Thanks, Cathy. My son and wife gave me 5lb weight..........ten lb total for my birthday and I did the 2 mile walks strong with them today. So excited.

sotypical 04-11-2012 06:53 PM

5 miles this morning using the 3 mile walk your belly flat.

carolr3639 04-12-2012 09:22 AM

Wow! was I sore after using the new weights. It seemed so easy but must have really done the job.

AnnieDrews 04-12-2012 11:04 AM

Good job, Carol! Just be careful. It isn't safe to use more than 3 pounds in each hand while walking.

I did 2 miles of the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk this morning. For some reason I have been exhausted this week and having trouble getting up in the morning. I've really wanted to amp up my workouts, but haven't yet.

Just remembered that on the Fat Burning Miles video, Leslie uses 5lb weights on the walk strong section.

I've never seen her use more than 3 pounds while walking. Maybe I don't have that video.

Got in the 4 Mile Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles this morning!!:carrot: No weight loss this week.:(

carolr3639 04-13-2012 11:41 AM
