MPH with WATP

  • Hello,

Well i tried my first WATP video last night. Now i know what all the fuss was about. I LOVED it.

Does anyone know what MPH she typically stays at though? Trying to figure out how to log it in my exercise log. It seemed pretty brisk, but i dont know how to guess at MPH.

I just did the one mile one. I have a few others coming from netflix though. It was the easiest mile i have ever walked and it was pretty darn fun.

Anyway, one more happy person doing WATP.
  • Hummm I think because the tempo changes there wouldn't really be a way to pinpoint how much the MPH. It has to be pretty high though. Last year when I was going to the gym, I had to walk around 3.8-4.0 just to get my heart rate up to a higher rater. That was after a few months of doing WATP all most everyday. It also probably depends on what DVD you are doing. Yay for liking the workout, and keep going!
  • The way I would estimate was this: The one mile Dvd took about 20 minutes, so that's 3 mph. The 3 mile express DVD (that I used pretty often) took about 45 minutes - so 4 MPH. The 5 mile DVD takes about 70 minutes, so 5 MPH. What I'm saying is that I took the total length of the walk and divided it 60 minutes to get the MPH. Does that make sense. It's all just an estimate anyway, so I'm not too worried about estimating incorrectly.
  • Thanks Tammy, that heps put it in perspective.

I have been wanting to tell you congrats on getting into Onederland. Wow, what a feeling.
