Allison~ I had my wisdom teeth removed and I still have a rough time opening my mouth and chewing. Also found out I clench my teeth when I do my ab ecercises, that's a nono! LOL!

Thanks that's reassuring!

Wide--let me know how long it takes your mouth to heal. I had my wisdom teeth out YEARS ago and can't remember. DD gets hers out on Nov. 17th. I didn't consult the calendar when I made the appointment, and she and I have a charity event two days later. I hope she'll feel up to doing it with me (although it isn't a whole lot of work--we'll be serving a luncheon at our Guide Dogs graduation ceremony).

I'm doing really well, the only thing is that it's been 11 days and the stitches are bugging me! They haven't even begun to disolve! Whats up with that?? I'm calling the oral surgeon tomorrow to find out how long it usually takes!
Hows everyone doing??
Ilene, still doing your new diet?

Thanks for asking WiW, I am doing my own thing, as usual, because I found there wasn't enough protein in that plan. But I have kept drinking the cranberry water and taking psyllium morning and night, and I feel really good...

I had my wisdom teeth out when I was in high school and I don't remember it much. I've had other surgeries, though, and stitches are no fun. I can deal with pain, but stitches make me want to jump out of my skin. Hope it's over soon, Wide.

I'm struggling a bit with a scale issue.
I guess I should mention that I have been an everyday weigher. I'm not necessarily anymore.
I have a sort of middle of the road priced scale that I had all figured out in the other house. I had a flat, level spot picked out and it was reliable. In fact, it was reliably 5 pounds lighter than the really good ones at work.
I thought I'd figured out a good place to put them in this house (another old one with whimsical floors) however .... At home, I'm stickin' at 130 give or take a half, but at work I'm down around 3 lbs. This is more reflective of how my clothes fit.
I am working more, but not everyday. I am weighing myself less often, not every day.
I wonder if I can keep my head on straight.
I've been thinking for a while that if I could stay under 125 on those ones (uniform and shoes included) I'd be pretty happy with that.

Yes, I think I can do that. Thanks for being here while I sorted that out in my own brain. Seeing something in type often makes it more clear in your head, doesn't it?

Nuts. Decided I'd ride the road bike today instead of doing it indoors. I haven't been on it for a long time and figured it'd take some airing up and adjusting. Well, things were much worse than I thought. I ended up hauling it down to the local bike shop and checking it in for brakework, tuneup, new front tire, and other assorted repairs and maintenance. They'll get it back to me mid-week. Looks like I'm indoors for now.

I hurried and went for a bike ride this morning before it rained. It's fun really ... a nice difference.

Jazzbird 10-28-2006 04:42 PM

I really love biking. I don't have a good excuse for why I haven't done it lately. Since I'm spending money on it now, I ought to be extra motivated.

Good Morning! I'm off to work this morning ... and that means the scale! After not having weighed myself for a few days, I'm surprisingly apprehensive. I thought I'd gotten over the 'clued at the hip to the scale and it's results' thing. Maybe it's just because it's on my mind ... with changing how I do things.

We'll see I guess.

How's everyone?

Hey Susan  and everyone else...

The scale gods were nice to me this morning... dwon 2#...I guess they have to be nice if you are good foodwise all weekend ... Now to have another clean week and weekend... :woohoo:

Jazzbird 10-30-2006 09:23 AM

Good for you Ilene! I know how hard you've struggled with the weekend thing. Glad to see you're making some progress.

Good morning everybody,:D

I have been bouncing around all over this forum - trying to find a place to roost. This looks like a good spot for me.
In the past year I've lost 37lbs - was down @ 140/141 for a while a few months ago. Now I seem to be bouncing around 145.
Ideally - I would love to get down to the 135 range.
Just need to focus and buckle down for these last 10!
I'm planning a clean food week and scheduled exercise.

-S
