See ya 130's!

I see we were shut down for being over the post limit so time for a new thread. I havent weighed in for a few days because I was too busy but was pleasantly surprised this am. I am at a new low and a mini goal. :)

134.4!! I am so happy to below 135 as it took a while and I am hoping to end this month under 130 so I am finally moving in the righ direction.

DottieMae 07-13-2012 09:21 AM

Sarahlynn - Congrats. Great job!

I weighed in at 131 today. The lowest weight I've been in almost 6 years. I know I'll bounce up a little as I went to Bikram yoga yesterday and some of that is water weight, still put a smile on my face when I saw the scale this morning. That makes my weight loss exactly 15 pounds! yay!

Astrild 07-13-2012 11:45 AM

Sarah~ Congrats!! That's an exciting milestone.
Dottie~ You're so close! Keep it up.

Weighed 130.4 again today... That's okay. I'm suddenly experiencing better body image, so seeing that number again still leaves me contented. lol

DottieMae 07-14-2012 08:42 AM

132.5 this morning. Had hoped not to go up that far but glad to not see 133. I have to remind myself that slow & steady is good.

Astrild 07-15-2012 10:50 AM

Stepped on the scale partially clothed and saw 130.0... So of course, I eagerly strip down to try again. lol 130.2!! Then 130.0 again... sigh. I always feel so close, yet so far away...

maymarza 07-15-2012 01:07 PM

132! Allllllmost there

Sarahlynn 07-15-2012 01:55 PM

136.2 wtf??? So frustrated!! I honestly thought when I saw 134.8 that I had finally broken 135 for good. I am really hoping that it is just water retention from the extreme humidity the last few days because I certainly havent been indulging or anything like that and my clothes are looser than they were so the woosh must be on it's way.

DottieMae 07-16-2012 07:53 AM

131.8 this morning. I feel like I did a good job restraining but not overly denying myself this weekend. Having a smoothie for breakfast and eating a bit light today as a friend is making home made macaroni & cheese (yum! but gah! high in calories) for dinner.

Astrild - You're getting there! I once stepped on the scale after going to bathroom thinking I'd be slightly less and was disappointed to be up .5 lbs!

maymarza - Nice work!

Sarahlynn - I also bump up a little near ovulation. I know you said in the past you were breastfeeding so that may not be the case. I agree it sounds like you're getting close to a whoosh. Keep up the hard work!

Sarahlynn 07-16-2012 09:55 AM

Astrild you are so close!!! I know you will see 129.something any day now you just need to focus and not let anything get in your way.

DottieMae you are doing great and that is great that you are planning or day around the indulgence for dinner so that you don't end up sabotaging yourself with way too many calories.

I was 136.2 again this am but the humidity is still high here and I know my ahem system is out of whack. I am going to eat light and drown myself in water today and see if that helps.

kifli 07-17-2012 01:39 AM

Hi everyone!

I'm joining. I weighed 140 this morning, but planning on getting into the 130's this week. Just started 1200 calorie counting again today. Will work out 5 days a week (mon-fri).

Ate 1200 today, and did a Zumba class.
Have not been able to get past the 130's since having my 2nd baby. I'm determined to do it!!! Hopefully this thread will help
:)

LovelyAndLosing 07-17-2012 08:25 AM

131.6 on Friday, but scared to weigh in after my weekend visiting my sister - definitely wasn't on plan! :-(

DottieMae 07-17-2012 09:24 AM

Kinda perplexed but I'm not going to get upset - for some reason I had a big, unexpected whoosh this morning. I've been on plan but not overly stringent. I'm at 130.3. We'll see if that holds tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Sarahlynn - You have the right idea, water, water, water. You will see it move down soon!

kifli - Welcome! I am in the same boat, although first child. I have not been able to get below 130 but I am so close. You can do it too!

LovelyAndLosing - Don't hesitate to jump on the scale, at least you will know where you are (or aren't) and refocus if needed. I'm sure any blip up will be erased by a day or two of being on plan.

kifli 07-17-2012 01:39 PM

139.5 this morning.

Dottie Mae - Thanks! Hope the whoosh sticks :)

maymarza 07-17-2012 02:33 PM

130 this morning! Hopefully it's not just water weight

crazygurl61 07-18-2012 12:24 AM

I'm at 137.4. Sigh...time to get back on track!!

DottieMae 07-18-2012 07:57 AM

Not sure what's going on with my body, but at least i's in a direction I like. I did eat light yesterday and was planning on it today & tomorrow in anticipation of our upcoming camping weekend at an amusement park (hello junk food!) 129.9 this morning. I'm not calling it until I get another solid weigh in in the 120s though.

Sarahlynn 07-18-2012 09:23 AM

I am so excited for you DottieMae!! My fingers are crossed for you that this is it and you are in the 20's for good! I am hoping to join you soon. 135.2 but I feel the whoosh is on it's way. So hoping to see 133 before the week is over.

moviegrl1737 07-18-2012 11:29 AM

I was up a bit (.6) this week. Sigh. I know what I did. Hanging head in shame.

kifli 07-18-2012 05:44 PM

139.5 again.
Did Zumba last night.
Will go to the gym again today.
Eating healthy :)

DottieMae 07-19-2012 09:10 AM

Sarahlynn - Thanks!

moviegrl1737 - I find the best thing is to just recognize a bit of an overindulgence but not dwell on it. Move forward and do what you need to do in order to get back on track. Good luck!

kifli - Sounds like a good plan!

I was up to 130.1 this morning. Hoping not to move any higher but I actually wouldn't be shocked if I did. I have a pretty severe downward trend over the last few days. TOM is coming soon, so I doubt I'll kick the 130s for another week. Still, it's on the horizon. yay!

Sarahlynn 07-19-2012 03:01 PM

134.8 this am!! Hoping to see the downward trend continue.

DottieMae 07-20-2012 07:30 AM

Sarahlynn - Congrats on 134!

130.5 this morning. Even though I'm up .6lb I'm still happy with sticking under 131.

Sarahlynn 07-20-2012 07:57 AM

133 WOOT!!! I could feel it coming because for the past three days the scale was going 132.6 for a second and then hopping up to the number it settled on.

DottieMae staying under 131 is great! I am betting you will see 129.something after your next bikram yoga. :)

LovelyAndLosing 07-20-2012 08:18 AM

Feeling so discouraged today. I got on the scale, feeling SO confident that it would be a loss ... or at least back to my low of 131.6 as I was 1.5 weeks ago. But the scale read 133.4!

I seem to have such a hard time and I don't know what to do! I'm eating 1200 calories, low carb-ish (75-100g), high protein. I run 3-4 miles 2x a week and lift 2-3x a week. I walk 2 miles (total) to/from work every day. I'm doing EVERYTHING I did last time, to get down to 123, but I'm stuck in the 130s.

I feel like it is hopeless!

krampus 07-20-2012 10:52 AM

LovelyandLosing I just wanted to say I am in the same boat. I was 124-125 a week ago and have been eating at a deficit all week but was 128.2 this morning, eughhhhhhh!

DottieMae 07-21-2012 09:12 AM

129.6 this morning. Second weigh in in the 120s. So I think it's time to say goodbye. I hope to see you guys there soon!

Sarahlynn - I knew you were going to see a drop soon! Congrats on another one down to 133!

LovelyAndLosing - That is frustrating! Two things that you might want to think about/try. You may be gaining muscle weight, especially if the lifting and running is new to you, hence no movement as muscle weighs more. The good thing though is that increased muscle helps speed your metabolism up. I have gone through phases where the scale doesn't move much and then in a few weeks I get a huge drop. If you're on your plan it will move, unfortunately it just doesn't move at the speed we always want.

Another thing is to just try increasing your calories to 1500-1600 for one week and see if that makes a difference. Or try calorie cycling. With your activity level you may not be getting enough calories. I currently eat between 1500-1600 and we're the same height. I'm also a bit older, which means my metabolism may be slower than yours.

Also, how often do you weigh in? I like to do a daily weigh in because then I can see the little fluctuations and get a sense of where my weight really is. When I was doing it once a week I would get frustrated because sometimes those were my 'off days' so it would feel like I hadn't lost any weight. It's a personal preference though. Good luck, keep up the hard work and hugs!

kifli 07-22-2012 03:07 PM

I'm slow moving too! But not surprised b/c it seems like getting out of the 130's is almost near impossible for me.

Down .5 to 139 today.

Dottie Mae - Congrats :)
Sarahlynn - Yay for the 133!
Krampus and Lovely - Hang in there!

Sarahlynn 07-23-2012 09:35 AM

135 this am up from before the cottage but I am super bloated from a salty restaurant dinner.

So happy for you DottieMae!!
Kifli slow and steady wins the race.

WAHMto5 07-23-2012 04:14 PM

Think I will join you guys if you don't mind;) Currently at 139 and can't wait to get out of the 130's already!

Trillian 07-23-2012 07:10 PM

139.4 lbs here :)

Dreamer2012 07-24-2012 04:36 PM

Eeek! Stepped on the scales this evening and back up to 139lbs. Official weigh in on Thursday. Hopefully it doesn't stay at 139 for that...

Welcome to the newbies, although I'm still a newbie myself to the 130s :)

Trillian 07-24-2012 07:21 PM

136.6 lbs.

JessicaB 07-25-2012 10:25 AM

Well I'm ready to join this forum, since my weight has stuck below 140 since the weekend. Today I'm at 138.9. It feels weird posting in the feather's forum, as I have a hard time thinking of myself as a featherweight. But I realize it takes a bit for the brain to catch up to the body, and I know that I really am a feather, it just doesn't feel like it yet.

philana 07-25-2012 02:47 PM

I am gonna get out of here soooon. I got back on track again. the 130s are harder than de 140s so far. It's such a comfortable weight really. Except when you have to get into a bikini or imagine going on a date and getting to the point where clothes needs to come off :P

What is SO incredibly frustrated is that my mom is the exact same weight but she has much better looking leggs. I hate how blubbery mine are. People won't believe me till they see it, and then they are like "oh.". It's that bad.

Same here. I was hesitant to post in this section because I still don't feel like I'm a featherweight.

^ My thoughts exactly! I'm always like "Ehhh I don't look so bad" when I'm wearing certain outfits, but in a bikini it's like "I NEED TO WORKOUT NOW"

I know! I think it is also because, really, at this stage it is all losing weight for how I feel in the mirror and how other girls perceive me. I think I'm complacent because (as a single girl) I'm fine with how BOYS see me. I mean really, is there any guy that wouldn't like me now that would like me at 120?

Eat Pray Love comes to mind:

"Let me ask you a question? In all the years youve undressed infront of a gentleman has he asked you to leave? Has he ever walked out and left? No..
Because he doesnt care, hes in the room with a naked girl. Hes won the lottery."

BUT as beautiful of a mindset as that is, I can't let it make me complacent!!!

philana 07-26-2012 10:33 AM

It's interesting to see that with about the same height and weight we feel the same way, what would you gals figure is the point where with our height our bodies look really slim in bikini? I am trying to get to 125. If need be 120, but it's gonna be the lowest I've ever been and the numbers sound extreme when I look at my size now. But then I might be surprised by how much there is still on my small frame to lose. Below 125 was before purberty, and I know that from puberty onward I've always been less slim than my friends. Not fat, but also not their slim-tight bodies. I don't mean skinny, just... no belly-roll and no rubbing thighs.

WAHMto5 07-26-2012 11:55 AM

Normally weigh in on Friday's, but going to be super busy tomorrow and decided to weigh today and down 1lb for the week. 138 today.

kifli 07-26-2012 12:21 PM

ugh...back up to 140.5

So I'm going extreme with the exercise and I'm counting every calorie now.
Time to get this weight off!
Starting officially today...wrote out 'The Plan' last night :)
Weigh ins on Fridays.

I look good in a bikini at 118.
I look good in clothes at about 120.

Have a great weekend everybody :)
